Of course give up an early wide open three. Their huge big guy is an early match up problem.
Scruggs really needs to be much smarter with the ball. It’s just frustrating to see him not take that part of his game to the next level so far this year. He is also taking bad 3s...
where is the coaching... keep hearing Steele say that he doesn’t want his guys rushing 3s and yet they keep doing it... it’s as if they all want to be the Tre or JP of this team... no patience.
This team could be solid if they ever showed a little patience and got in sync for more than 3 minutes... and played a little better defense.
Think it is key that Castlin take over and be a bigger leader. I would love him to average 9 or more points a game. When he step up and makes buckets, the team calms down and plays better.
Just as I posted my thoughts... Travis has gotten his boys to work it around and inside and Castlin showing he is ready to make those smart “leader-like” decisions /shots.

Well that was a shitty play out of that timeout.

I would love to know if that is what Steele drew up at the end of the half. We have Harden/Kennedy/Welage and Goodin takes a three.

Naji’s defense is impressive tonight. Q running a good game except for his insistence on shooting the damn 3.

Man, I just read this thread and thought we must be struggling. Then I checked the score and saw we were up 15....as 11.5 point favorites. Tough crowd. LOL

You should see how we all coach our little league teams, hah!
They may be up but if is only halftime.
Not like they have looked consistently good tonight. Nothing that I’ve seen posted here so far seems off base.
The team (and certain players) look good... then bad... then good... then bad.
Let’s see how they do coming out of halftime. If they show they can play smart and keep puling away, it would show the team is starting to turn a corner.
This team might prove to be pretty good if they can put it all together for 40 minutes.

That’s the only way to teach those little squirts! They need to EARN that orange slice!
You should see how we all coach our little league teams, hah!
Ha... and our kid’s grade school bball teams.

I see Goodin has some hot dog in him.

2 wild hot dog plays and misses, in a row.
I wish Steele would sit him when he never passes ONCE after coming over the mid-line.
I see Goodin has some hot dog in him.
And his handle looked pretty loose against pressure. I guess they are feeling good about themselves right now. Maintain focus, but it’s hard up 25.

Georgetown was bigger favorites over Richmond tonight than we were over Miami. I'm choosing to have nothing but feel good emotions given the easy win and looking up and seeing Georgetown tied with the Spiders in the second half.
I will not be winning Pick The Score.

Best defense I’ve seen this year from X. Solid win.

Great win...Miami sucks but it's nice to not be sweating late in the second half like the Evansville game. I can slowly see some growth and I'm liking it.

Had to laugh when Steve Lavin said X played great defense “a trademark of the old Chris Mack teams.” Ha

Didn't get to watch due to a clinical exam tomorrow, just checked the box score, Naji with 7-10 from the field and 2-3 looks great, looks like he had a very efficient 17, and Scruggs also knocking down 2-3 from deep is awesome to see, but I'm worried about Q's slump, 3-10 from the field, 0-3 from deep, I hope he picks it up moving forward, he's a catalyst in our success.
Disappointed a bit that Steele got gipped out of his face time interview. Technical difficulties.

I laughed at this too. I saw some twitter commentary on something similar. I wish CM the best...but not really.

No worries....not an efficient scoring effort tonight but 8 assists and ZERO TURNOVERS.. This is the Q we need going forward. Dude is a stud!

You'd be very happy to know that half of the exam was a female gynecological exam, and I didn't laugh or make any "that's what she said" jokes during it, I'm really proud of the growth in maturity I've shown.

Of course I would much rather Q distribute the ball efficiently and not have to take a bulk of the scoring, but unfortunately with all the scoring we lost, we're going to need him to contribute and get a bit better from the field, I love that he was able to be efficient in that regard again, but we're going to need him to shoot around 30% at least from the 3 for opposing defenses to somewhat respect his shot, which will open up his penetration into the lane, and allow for opportunities for our shooters on the wings as well. It just opens up the court so much more when Q is effective in passing and scoring. You're right though, 3 turnovers total was a beautiful sight to see.
