Can anyone confirm this?

That is correct. However Q did not play.

trying to not read too much into this, especially with Q not playing but that result is a little concerning. OSU is a very average team.

The coaches often ask the other team to run specific sets to test the offense and defense in weakness areas. Plus, no Q makes a huge difference. Everyone come down from the ledge.

Guys, this is going to be a challenging year to say the least. I sure hope we aren't gnashing our teeth over the first scrimmage of the year.........geesh.

We get to 20 wins and that would be a very successful year for this team.

I’m a Bills fan. I look forward to merely “struggling”. Any sign of life would be refreshing. I can’t wait to see what this team looks like, and how they develop.

Speak for yourself. I expect this team to have 20 wins by the end of November

On the last podcast that was on the Banners site they had one of the assistant coaches. He talked about scrimmages. Said that the “usually” do about a 40 minute practice game...complete with timeouts, referees, and even a 1/2 time break. Then they may work on situations like end of half or end of game...up or down 2-3 points, on offense, on defense, etc.....whatever the coaches can agree to work on. It’s not unusual to have players sit out all or parts of the scrimmage, to put in different players just to see what they can do in different situations, to experiment with different combinations, to even stop a scrimmage and do some coaching on the floor, and there is certainly no game planning beforehand. Everyone does need to relax. This team has a long way to go.

We have won and lost these scrimmages and still had great years. I am more worried about Q then about this.

OSU is actually 14 spots higher than us on Kenpom. I get the season hasn't started but his metrics on returning players and freshmen are better than ours.

Any word on if Dontarius James used one foot or two feet when he jumped?

I'm pretty sure the Elite 8 year WVU beat us by like 10-15 in the "secret scrimmage", I don't put any weight into this, I just hope the guys are able to learn from it. It's a good way to start building chemistry playing someone else other than yourself. This year is gonna have a lot of ups and downs, so may wanna save some outrage for when it matters.

What I like most about mindset of scrimmage to new players: efficiency and effort in practice equals playing time.
