The 6'10" Big is on an official visit to Xavier today. Yesterday, he cut his list to 8- Florida, Indiana, Wisconsin, Virginia, Wake Forest, Providence, Louisville, and Xavier.
He had a really good July, and 247 has him in the 90s I believe. Also, that's a pretty good list of schools. Between him, Freemantle, and Tray Jackson, things with the big men are starting to heat up.

This one will be interesting.. this kid has a lot of upside once he gets a little stronger and develops. I'm pretty sure he's going to make a big jump in the rankings on 247 too.

Keep him away from any Manresa type activities! I had a multi-day hangover after THAT! Not a fond memory.....
I suspect it really does make a HUGE difference when they do their visits. I’ve made my annual trip during Christmas break a couple times, and it’s just not the same.

Buying the Zumbiel plant and turning it into Xavier Station did wonders for the campus.
Cintas after the updates is just awesome.

Maybe that’s why they invited him today and not tomorrow... Manresa starts tomorrow:)

I was in Cintas yesterday for the Welcome speeches and I'm pretty sure it was him up in the Tech Deck with the coaches.
Maybe he'll stick around tomorrow for midnight smores with the new frosh.

Kadin is going to be visiting Virginia this weekend. I think that visit is going to be very big. Also Xavier has Zach Freemantle on a official and Robbie Beran on an unofficial this weekend.

Heard about Freemantle but not Beran. Love both and Beran looks like the best inside/outside guy I’ve seen in a while! If Freemantle signs with X, looks like he can be the next most hated guy in BE outside of X! Know to early to compare JP (not mention different position) but has hustle factor and attitude that will drive other crowds crazy!

According to Twitter, he had already done an unofficial in June. If this is his 2nd, then it might mean he is really seriously considering coming. But it’s hard to imagine him not going to UL.

Johnson still might end up at Louisville, but he has had a ton of time to recommit and he hasn't. Xavier has a shot here.

Absolutely they do. After losing Allen to UK, that would be a wonderful thing too!

All the recruiting experts on 24/7 including Gershon, Daniels and Snow all picked Freemantle in their crystal ball. Methinks something is in the air.

Would have loved to have Kadin, but more excited about Freemantle (if it happens). Love the kids approach to the game and what he can bring!

Freemantle would be Ben Johnson's first commitment if it happens right?? Looks like he's had a solid summer session and has climbed up a bit, could be a interesting get. He looks comfortable, and could really develop with our coaching staff. I did see where he averaged 3 blocks a game at the Peach Jam, which I'm never going to complain about someone that gets after it defensively. Our class is looking pretty promising for the 2019 year if we can get some of these guys, but a 86% prediction rate to X is good to see.

I'd like to see a top 50-75 recruit in this class. I think the staff has done a great job especially being new, but to get to that last 2%, X is going to have to keep accumulating those types of guys...the Scruggs' and Naji' immediate impact players.
Of course, it is still early, so maybe our commits will be making a significant jump as time goes on.

Scruggs is one of the highest ranked recruits we have had. He was consensus top 40. So, yea, accumulate more top 40 guys and we will be in good shape!

I can see where Conte is underwhelming and BC's track record in hoops is probably even worse, but BC's campus and Chestnut Hill and Boston are very nice.
Not that a basketball recruit cares about that stuff.
