Hi, it's that time again. Not as much excitement as last year. However, coaching change, OOC schedule, no more seat donation tax deduction. Your seats last year - like 'em or not? Anyone know if they will improve the Lookout site lines or make other tweaks to Cintas? Anyone looking for upgrade opportunities or making changes to their season tickets? Any tips for those making adjustments?

I received an email with my time to make changes 16:00 on 6/7.

For me, last year was a bit strange as I had one seat down low (by basket) and three seats in Sec 212 depending on whether I was at the game myself or with my folks/friends. It worked last year as I found friends or used stub hub to make use of the seats. This year, I'll look at what's available and probably at least give up the seat down low (which I liked) and keep the mid-court ones unless there is something like two on the aisle in a good/affordable location. I think I made it to half of the OOC games last year ... in Mario/Steele I trust, but for an out-of-towner, there is a lack of compelling weekend games in this year's OOC schedule - I'm sure I'll make a few, but not as many as last year. At least I pre-paid all my seat donations in 2017 and got the tax deduction.

For fun, the order in which seats were purchased last year (link (https://www.dropbox.com/s/wn0c74f3j2yeoju/CintasFillingUp.pdf?dl=0)).

I will see about moving up a few rows to get in front of the guy who stood up every time a 3 was taken and blocked my view. I'm cool with standing up if X makes it, but not even seeing the shot go in was starting to annoy me towards the end of the year.

I like my section. I may move down a little closer. Have to see what's available.

I'm only moving if there's a seat open next to gladdenguy.

I'd rather not talk about it.

Ain't moving but I think the seats next to us in 101 are available. Row P.

My time is 12:30 on 6/07. I might look to see if I can move down a few rows, but only if I can stay on the aisle. When I made my seat selection last year, I wasn’t happy with it. Having sat there all season, I really like my seats.

I want to stay in my general area (105) but go from 3 seats to 5 seats. I would also consider 104 or 106 as well if that is required to add seats.

I think we're all in the same general area. I enjoyed 105 and won't likely move, but I did like being right across the aisle in 103 previously.

Isn't section 105 where all the liberals sit?

I certainly hope so. However my liberal friends are scattered all over the lower bowl.

I used to sit there, but had to move because they kept talking about Global Warming while I was trying to watch the game.

Them’s fightin’ words! Sounds like there are a number of us in 105. What rows are y’all in?

Correct me if I'm off a row or two ... you are exposed!

In Sec 105, I have XEUS and X-Man in rows I and J. bjf123 in P, DW+Posey in R across the aisle from Muskie in Sec 103.

That all sounds accurate. Add pimpinthebox to Row H.

Pimp usually sits on Sister RoseAnn's lap though. Sinner.

Keep all you Liberals in 105. Us 99%ers in the Upper Bowl would appreciate it.

Deep, I know you well enough that I can confidently say that virtually everyone "sits to the left" of you. Only BigRocco, who no longer posts to this board but has seats near me in 107, sits to your right.

Anybody do the seat selection yet (or move to a different seat)? Are they using the same online "map" as last year?

Actually, I think I sit more in the "lonely-middle" where, these days, everyone else seems to be to my far left or far right.

I understand that our better-half's had a recent encounter, so you likely heard that retirement has finally been scheduled, but not until mid-October. we should work on lunch or a drink sometime in the near future.

Friendly student worker competently changed my seats from four total to two in the last row of Sec 107 on the aisle next to Sec 109. Easy in and out and no worries about standing / sitting. And I'm way left (or is way right) of the Sec 105 gang!?

We are finally moving after 17 years of sitting in the same area. We have this idiot in our section who screams and yells the entire game and makes the entire section uncomfortable. I'm not talking yelling at normal times, I'm talking about yelling ALL THE TIME and about things you shouldn't even yell at. So this year we finally moved from the end zone to the sides. Here's hoping for a more enjoyable game experience.

There was a guy in 103 a number of years ago who had no use for Doellman, Duncan, or Farr. It seemed like every time one of them made a mistake, or missed a shot, he would start riding them like a Schwinn.

I'll take the loud, cheering fan who's passionate about the team and game over the fan who sits on their hands and doesn't cheer at all. Whats great is that if you dont like where you are, you can move and find another spot. Sometimes that works out well for everyone involved.

Was that a guy who sat in the last row row? I was so glad to move away from that jackass.

I with you BleedX... that's what makes this atmosphere so much better than the NBA in my opinion and the Cintas Center especially has an energy that eclipses even the vast majority of college atmospheres. Generally the end zone fanatics do a good job of providing a good portion of that energy... maybe it's the juxtaposition to the beer booths... IDK. The players feed off of it, the recruits notice it, the TV announcers notice it, the coaches notice it. There's enough people that go to other games that all you see them do is text or look at their phones when the TV pans to a crowd shot. Let's keep it loud and engaged. Let's Go X!!

Not sure exactly where he sat. My seats then were on the other side of 105, so I wasn’t close enough to see him. Sure could hear him though! I’m now on that side of 105, right next to 103. If he’s still there, he’s quieted down.

I'm fairly sure they aren't talking about a loud passionate fan cheering for the team. Sounds more like someone who is constantly yelling at officials and possibly our own players/staff. There's a big difference between cheering for the team, vs frustratingly yelling at the refs and Xavier players.

I sit in 201 and I would honestly say there is some embellishment about the guy that is being referenced. He does not swear, ever and generally the fans I have seen are amused by his comments.

There was a another guy who let an f-bomb slip and he apologized for it. I just hope there are iPhone chargers built into the seats in the new section for the fan that is complaining.

I agree in one sense but not in another.

I am a pretty passionate fan (as I would imagine most of us on here are) and I cheer loudly and often. However there are fans who make the games miserable for the entire area. Those that are constant bitchers/complainers/harassers/cursers. Give me a silent non cheering fan over that guy everytime no doubt about it. My family had tickets in 202 for 15 years and there was a guy who was one of these unbearable guys right behind us. My dad finally lost it one game and turned around and firmly told him to cool it, if you will. You could tell everyone was happy someone finally said something. The guy was much better for the rest of the year. My parents moved their seats after that year and I got some around that section but not sure I was close enough to him at that point.

That type of guy is miserable to be seated by.
