Went to get my hair cut yesterday. My barber is the same guy Chris Mack used - who knew? Anyway, they'd talk about other "dreams" Chris mack had other than the Louisville job. Here are the ones I remember.
Dream Car - 1973 Ford Pinto
Dream Date - Dinner at Applebee's followed by the Kenny Rogers classic, Six Pack
Dream Vacation - He loves the islands, but his favorite is Three Mile in Pennsylvania
Deram House - 112 Ocean Avenue, Amityville, NY
Dream Dinner with Historical Figures - Gen. George Custer, Roy Riegels, Joseph Hazelwood
Dream Concert - Yanni with special guest Jon Tesh
Dream Wardrobe - Tuxedo t-shirt and These Jeans (https://www.hulu.com/watch/10310)
OK, now I'm done venting - time to move on to our next coach. Hope Mack has fun in Probation-land.

You need a barber to shave your head?
I guess when you make the big Louisville bucks, you can pay for such silliness.

As much as we like trying to find reasons: from facilities, to recruits, to the increase in pay, to XVille's infatuation with the greatest small city in the world - I think the simple truth is Lewdville has always been Mack's dream. It's been mentioned on this board for years. It was perhaps the worst kept secret in Xavier history. No matter what the circumstances were, Mack was going to Lewdville. He was inceptioned years ago.

Maybe it's me, but what am I missing that Louisville is your dream job? I'd get it if it were Duke or Kentucky or UNC. Hell, I'd even understand the draw of place like UCLA or Indiana, even Arizona to some extent. But, Louisville? It's like you're talking with your friends and they're all like "My dream vacation is to Paris. Mine is to Tahiti. I can't wait to go on a Mediterranean Cruise." And then Mack chimes in with "My dream vacay is Cedar Point." Just weird.

Mack's "Dream Job" - Louisville = Latrine Cleaner. Identical in all respects.

I agree. I'm not going to pretend to understand it. If I were a coach my dream job would be at X, and I'm sure there's a lot of people who wouldn't understand that.

Agree with above. The closest I could come up with is it is like saying your dream job is NC State. Reading his press conference and his weird fealty to Denny Crum, they can have him.
Wonder what stage of grief processing I’m at now. Openly mocking Mack. That’s not even in the matrix is it? The other weird thing is the comments directed to former players. Open invitation to the program and his house eventually. Hell I can’t name more than five Louisville players. Guess you need to grow up near 1 71 to get the Louisville thing. But hell he’s all in. Strange one.

He's all in until the insane Louisville Fan Base tells him he's out.

Louisville was winning national titles in the 80s when he was growing up. Prolly grew up a fan. He said he didn’t grow up a Xavier or uc fan.

Mack’s dream marital relationship = Mick Cronin’s wife. He says there’s nothing hotter than ‘lil (extra ‘lil) Mick bopping around his fart box.

This explains so much about so many things that he is. And, yet, oddly, still not about why he would consider Louisville a dream job.

His deam hair style (since he really doesn't have one - it's more of a lack-of-hair style) is his old flat top with a rat tail.

If I was coaching X after 13 years as a MRI Tech and then all of a sudden
Louisville calls I might even have to take it. It sucks and I will boo him if we play him. But X will be fine and we will thank Mack in 3 years

Where do you get your hair cut?
Curly's down on Ethel and Julius Rosenberg Way.
Curley always said Mack would come in, say he wanted the "Benedict Arnold cut" and laugh to himself.
I completely forgot I videoed him getting his hair cut - here it is.
