View Full Version : Butler Purdue
Once again the gods shine on Butler. Their big weakness is in the paint. Purdue center breaks his elbow out for the season.
The Butler way.

Reports has him wearing a brace and practicing so he can try and play. If he plays im gonna give him my man card cause that is Rambo like
His brace will have to be approved. Not sure how effective he could be.

Darn! I hope he’s better on Monday!
My sports nut son spent 5 years getting 3 degrees at FSU. I think he went to ONE basketball game in all those years. Obviously they have a HUGE fan base so they will be well represented, but hoops is an afterthought.

Which FSU player is injured?
Terrance Mann. Hurt his groin last night. Pretty significant injury. He's their 2nd leading scorer at 12.8 ppg and leading rebounder at 5.6 rpg. Also averages 2.7 apg.

Yeah weirdly ESPN says he is the second leading scorer but last night they said he was one of however many players in the ACC to lead their team in scoring and rebounding. Also I was looking up his status and Orlando Sentinel also called him the leading scorer so I am wondering is ESPN is wrong. Is that where you saw he was second?
Anyway he is questionable for Sunday.

ESPN is never wrong. Unless you're Sean Miller.

The guy from Field of Dreams? I’m not surprised he’s hurt, he must be really old!
I don’t like to see anybody get hurt, but......

Yeah but we aren't 100% certain about Naji yet either, which he is a key piece to our team with his defense, and added lift he gives us. If Kaiser wanted to step up and have a St. John's like performance tomorrow, I would be very okay with that. Survive and advance, just gotta get through these one game at a time. You gotta beat the best to be the best, regardless of what we want as match-ups, we have to come out and play focused and determined.

His brace will have to be approved. Not sure how effective he could be.Speaking of approval. I was watching a game a week or so ago and the refs made a player take off his compression sleeve. Apparently they need a medical reason to wear them

What's JP's medical reason for the full-body compression suit?

What's JP's medical reason for the full-body compression suit?No clue. I was confused because I've seen whole teams out there wearing them from head to toe

I believe I read that that is just the natural color of people from Minnesota this time of year.

It may have been the wrong color. There are only certain colors allowed (white, black, beige, or the uniform color), it has to be a single color, and everyone on the team needs to be wearing the same color.
I've never seen it be an issue in college, but I have seen it several times in high school games.

Right. I have never understood why people think he’s wearing something. So ignorant.

Wonder if the current numbers include tourney games and he dipped below the other guy because they were so close? Just weird because I heard it on TV last night and read it today where both called him leading scorer. Who knows? Either way seems like a big loss for FSU.
