Caught PTI today. The topic was...who do you trust as a top team. Seth said in addition to Michigan St, he thinks X, even though they play in an "Off Broadway Big East". Where most people don't know players like Bluiett. Just STFU.

He's just being a good employee. That's the narrative Espn will always push on the Big East. Can you imagine what they'll say if a Big East team wins this year? "Such a down year" , "No great teams this year". Bet it's different if say Duke wins though.

ESPN is a joke, and will always protect the leagues on their network, whatever, let them talk. If anything it's bulletin board material to keep our guys focused on the prize, and not complacent with this high ranking.

Best response I saw on Twitter something along the lines of:

Greenberg thinks NCAA tournament is Off-Broadway since it's on CBS... that's why he always made sure his teams played in the NIT!

The narrative is pushed so hard by ESPN that its make them look weak and paranoid.

I just keep adding guys to my list that I cant f'ing stand:

1. Gottlieb (will always be at the top of my list for obvious reasons)
2. Decourcey(UC homer)
3. Vitale (Duke humper)
4. Elmore (incompetent)
5. Lunardi (incredibly overrated )

Ha Mack's interview on Fox right now Donny Marshall brought up another college bball analyst saying a ot of people dont know Tre. He asked Mack what people should know. Mack said change the channel bc anyone who follows college bball knows Tre.

I feel the same about every one of those guys-in that order- except maybe Decourcey (simply because he seems to be a little easier to avoid. Maybe I'd move Elmore up above Vitale... oh hell... they all suck.

But Gottlieb is definitely at the top- tied with Bilas (who I can only assume was already on your earlier list).

Close to being added to my list:

Jon Rothstein (even his co-hosts on CBSaports Inside Colege Basketball seem to be annoyed with him Repeating the same lame attempt at cleverness)

Names recently removed from contention:

Parrish (see link below)

Well, done, you moron. I hope it’s only a partial jinx. Michigan St is down 22 at the half to Northwestern! Greenberg is on my short list for LEAST favorite.

I don't concern myself with the opinion of a man who made the tournament 3 times out of 22 seasons and the furthest he went was the 2nd round...once.

the business of sports reporting is so big and as some who grew up with 3 channels and SI it is so antagonistic. Your opinion is the only one that counts.

An aggressive take on an ESPN opinion show?!? GTFO, that didn’t happen!

Greenburg is one of the many washed up coach announcers; that couldn't win coaching but they have all the answers on winning.

Anyone who takes the opinion of Seth Greenberg for anything more than the rantings of an overrated hack who is basically parroting what management wants him to say and has no concept of critical thought needs to get a life.

Buzz will do more with VA. Tech than Seth ever did. Off broadway? That's cute.

He got them to the tournament once so he has tied the accomplishments of Seth in 3 years compared to 8 years.
