Kennedy has been the head coach at Ole Miss for the past 12 seasons, becoming the all-time winningest coach in program history in the process. But in that timeframe, he’s been to just two NCAA tournaments and is on track to miss out on the postseason entirely for the second time in three seasons. They are currently 11-14 overall and just 4-8 in the SEC.

______________

Wow... can't believe he's been there 12 years.

Pretty strange to resign in the middle of the season, must be taking a toll on him. Woof. Loved beating them in the NCAAs a couple years back though.

And when he was "coach" at SucKS too.

Always thought that he had done a really good at UC the one year he was there...especially since they basically had no real roster or recruits....and should have been rewarded with a chance to do the job on permanent basis. I guess that Nancy wanted no part of anything, or anybody, that had any type of connection to Huggs. But I’m surprised he has lasted this long at Old Miss.

Can't believe he lasted 12 years. They really must not care about basketball there.

I know it is an SEC school but still.

He’s the programs all time wins leader, is responsible for 30% of their NCAA appearances in school history and got them to built a 95 million dollar basketball arena. I’d say he did quite well.

I'm not sure any of that refutes my claim of them not caring about basketball. All relative.

I think it is only 25% of tourney appearances. He took them to two of their 8 total.

He started there for the 2006-2007 season.

They made 4 tourneys in 5 years in the 98-02 seasons.

He got to the tournament for the first time in year 7. He then made one more 2 years later.

2 tourney appearance with two total tourney wins (one in the First Four) in 12 years.

Other than Country Graham in the 40's-50's Kennedy has by far the most seasons as HC at Ole Miss so not surprised he is the all time wins leader.

I'm not overly impressed.

If they hire Rick Stansbury I may not stop laughing for a week.

I think Josh Pastner should leave Ga Tech for to Mississippi State.
