Villanova, Virginia, and Purdue seem to just be a class above this season (though I think to some degree Purdue is feasting on a mediocre conference slate). It's crazy to see two out of the three (and almost all three!) lose on the same night. Good for X too!

Flipping back and forth so quickly between the Auburn-A&M game and the Creighton-DePaul game was hectic. Glad Creighton pulled off the win...I don't want an angry Creighton team on Saturday when it's already on their home court.

Agreed, Holtmann looking like one helluva hire by the Ohio State administration, he has them playing good basketball and Bates-Diop is an absolute gamer. I don't really like Ohio State, but I gotta give credit where credit is due.

I really hope we take care of business, glad A&M beat Auburn so that it makes our #1 seed chances look a little prettier at the moment, hoping we take care of Creighton on the road, but damn that is one tough place to win at. Could be #2 next week, and that boys is insane.

Home loss to Ohio State, balanced out by a road win versus Michigan State...I think they would lose votes to us and other teams but would stay ahead. They are currently 150 votes ahead of X, which is equivalent to a mean difference in ranking of 2.3 spots.

In all my years, I have learned that rankings are a small part and really exist to create things the press can discuss. I would love to see us finish 4-2 but I could see 3-3 and a 2 seed. People criticize our inability to play at a consistent high level, but it has certainly made this team tough. I could see it being a March problem.

Who do you expect the 3 losses come from?
@Creighton, vs. Villanova, and...... 1 BE team in BE Tourney?

I think that the familiarity of the Big East teams make the games more competitive and when X faces teams that don't know them as well in the tourney, you will see just how good this team really is.
