Ed tweeted today that he will be able to return Friday. It sounds like he will be playing for the Pacers main roster, wish him luck!

Would have be interesting, if he came back to X and joined the team now...

best of luck! though, i would be shocked if he immediately suited up for the pacers. even NBA vets typically play a few games in the G-League prior to making their return after an injury.

Yeah, Fort Wayne (Indy's G-League affiliate) has a game on Friday as well, so he might be playing there.

Yea, he is on a 2 way deal so he can only play a maximum of 45 days on the NBA roster. The pacers aren't going to burn that time on a guy who hasn't played in a year.

If he looks good in the G League, he will get his shot no doubt.

Hate to reply to myself, but I got off my lazy butt and used google.

3 for 8, 0 for 2 (3pt), 3-4 (ft), 2 reb, 2 ast, 1 TO. 9 pts.

He should have stayed another season. Too many players leave early before they are ready for the NBA.

Would he have improved his draft status? Doubt it. He would just be coming back... not to mention rehabbing with an NBA team. No brainer to leave when he did. I could argue he left a year too late easier than a year too early.

Considering his injury past, I didn't fault him in the least for leaving then and I don't fault him now. I just hope he's able to get a healthy season in and eventually crack the Pacers' roster.

He even said that it was the unknown of "when" he'd be back that led him to declare for the draft. If he'd known he'd have been ready by Dec, he said he'd have come back, but not knowing made it a better decision to leave when he did. Love the kid and think he probably played it correctly.

Any chance we can permanently pawn you off to the OSU/UK boards? Would accept Cleveland State if they have one as well.
