I get it that every fan base complains about the refs after a loss. I get it that every fan base will play the "class" card when their team doesn't get it done.
But seriously, what is it with the state of Wisconsin? I'm not sure I've ever seen two saltier fanbases after their teams lose than these two schools. I know there are others, but man, they are bad.

Xavier fans would never complain about the refs after a loss.

Lol, of course we do. I was in Vegas and watched ASU right behind their bench talk trash. When you win and play great I think you can just don’t take it too far. I don’t think our guys take it too far.

Maybe they don't have much else to do in the wintertime?

Marquette fan here.
1. Don't lot us in with those losers in Madison.
2. You're correct in that every fan base complains about refs. You can look in your own game thread and see some of yours doing the exact same thing. The overwhelming number of Marquette fans do not think the outcome of last night's game was remotely affected by the refs. Saying otherwise is hyperbole.
Anyways congrats on the victory, you guys were the better team last night and your experience carried you in the final two minutes. Good luck until we see you again in January.

Solid Marquette fan right there. If it means anything, I was in the arena last night and the Marquette fans were marginally polite and accommodating.

I work with a guy who played college ball. He tells me all the time refs are human and make mistakes. Make-up calls happen all the time. All teams have fans who complain about bad calls and bad make-up calls.
I actually like Marquette, they honored the scholarship of the Hoop Dreams kid when he gave up on playing with injuries. They are far from the worst fan base.
I went to an ASU recently, the fans down low near me didn’t even know the rules of the game. Try that, though it could be from watching too many Bill Walton games.

Haha wow, I didn't expect to see a William Gates reference from 1994 in this thread today. What a phenomenal documentary.

I was at the game last night and yes Marquette fans were whining a little about the refs but that is probably par for the course for all home teams who lose. For the most part most of the Marquette fans were quite civil. Our team is tough, balanced and resilient. They've even surprised me and I am now thinking possibly 14-4 in conference with one home loss.
Glad to have met Snipe and Fred Garvin last night
