What an opportunity for Ty against Happ on both ends of the floor. Happ is a polished big with impeccable footwork. He really stuffs the stat sheet. Hoping he doesn't get schooled too often early and get into foul trouble. He can definitely rebound with him but again, can he be effective w/o fouling? Of course Sean will see plenty of time regardless, but I think TJ has a much better chance to throw Happ off his game. I can't see UW winning unless he comes up REALLY big....and even then...

I'm guessing Wiscy is probably under-rated. It's going to be a tough game.

Rique won't be able to defend him the whole game. It's going to take a committee.

[Hope Kanter shows up and plays like he did against Wisconsin when he was at Green Bay the past 3 years.

I actually think we lose this, Wisconsin is too tough at home. If we win it’s either Happ is controlled or we let him have his game and stop everyone else.

We did that efficiently at Michigan when Levert had 40.

I think we'll have Kaiser on him for a fair amount of time as well. I don't think Tyrique can guard him and he's not a banger anyway

hmmmm....how does this help guard Happ?

If Kanter's confidence is up maybe he defends a pro prospect. OMara's feet are too slow. Jones is quick and built strong but he will be tired at 2nd half if Gates and others don't help out.

it is widely know that Kanter can not guard at all.

Then why does Mack play him at all?

O'Mara is a better defender than Kanter.

I don't know that we've seen Kaiser guard the post. He's got good defensive footwork against smaller, quicker guys, but can he hang with the bangers?

Of course.
Mack says he is playing not comfortable or scared (at least after the 1st game)

Have you watch both TWO games?

Averaging 14.5 minutes and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Not shooting well but it is early. If OMara can come on strong last year, ANYBODY can.

I hope so. So far Kaiser is not so much a banger but a guy that starts in the box and floats outside the 3 point line waiting for a pass. Mack says he is the team's 2nd best shooter but I am more concerned about defense and rebounding from everyone.

Can't see it....The only way KG guards him for any length of time Is when UW's motion offense dictates he do so. When has he ever been an effective post defender? Happ doesn't shoot 3's, he makes hay in or very near the paint.

The SBR site lists Happ as probable, knee. Any other sources on this?

I feel like Kevin Garnet could guard him. Too bad KG forfeited his eligibility by going directly to the pros.

I mean I'm sure he'll play regardless, but if it helps slow him down some, I like our chances, the bigs are our weakest point, but so far Tyrique has been pleasantly surprising. It's going to be interesting to see how things shape up tonight.
