Not a season without a Snipe post. Now the universe has aligned properly, and I can watch this game comfortably. It's going to be a damn fun season, ugh 7 o'clock needs to hurry up!!

So, we were packed in the upper deck, but the premium seats were empty. That's annoying.

Upper deck is the place to be. The Woods is awesome. They have $5 Nati Light and Hudephol drafts.
$5 drafts? It is like I have died and gone to heaven.
I have to say that the powers that be have made the upper deck a great place to be.

No doubt, but having every other part of the arena packed and then no one in the premium seats is ridiculous. those are the only seats you see on tv too.

11-10-2017, 10:55 PM
They should do that New Mexico or Arizona St thing I heard about and give those seats away if people are not in them at a certain point in the game. If you are not coming, that is fine, thanks for your contribution, but if you don't make it to the game in the first 10 -15 minutes of clock we are going to let people sit in your seats.
There are ways to work that stuff.
Part of the problem with giving really wealthy people dibs on all of the good stuff is that sometimes the rich and famous are not good fans and go no show.
Ways exist to combat that. We should explore that.

Co-sign. These kids are ready to contribute from jump. Naji made his first 3 vs Thomas More and nailed his first one last night. These guys are not overwhelmed or bothered by the hype. They have defensive things to get better at, but they are ready to roll.

And if someone hasn't scanned their ticket at the end of the first half, move some students down into the luxury seats!

Is it possible the club seaters are in the Joseph club, the Woods, or some other place we have created for people to not sit in their seats? They may be in the building but not in there actual seats. I’m not saying that’s a good thing, just makes sense.

Then Snipes idea would make sense - to go by scanned tickets.
Not sure of the logistics of designating which seats specifically those would be and how the movers would know which seats were available and how that would be communicated.

How bout they get enough security at the door so thousands of fans aren’t waiting to get in at the tip? That would help fill in the seats. I️ know, I know. I️ should get to the arena “sooner”. On work nights that’s not always possible. I️ don’t get it. The arena holds the same amount of people. They should know what the staffing demands are.

Here a ticket question out of curiosity.
I've never bought tickets on line (stub or whatever), so don't know how that works.
I read on here where people are selling tickets, and email the ticket somehow to the guy who buys them.
All that's beyond me.
But...I've got season tickets to Wofford, who just opened up a brand new, spectacular, small arena.
Went to the game last night, and you wouldn't believe the electronics, video boards, amenities in this 3,400 seat place.
Hosted South Carolina for the opening night, and honored Jerry Richardson (Panthers' owner and Wofford grad) who donated all the funds for it.
Would be the envy of many and A10 school for sure.
https://www.wofford.edu/constructionupdates/RichardsonIndoorStadium/
Anyway, the season ticket is about the size and feel of a credit card. They scan it when you enter.
It's good for your seat for the whole season.
How and the heck would you ever "sell" one of your tickets for one game with that?

That, and all those people waiting outside like that presents a much bigger danger than whatever they think they are preventing with those half-assed metal detector wand-downs.

There was an app they partnered with a few years ago that did something like this (although you had to pay to move down). I wonder if they still have this, and/or can use the same technology.

We were there some than a half hour before and there was still a really long line to get in. That's insane. You want to wand people before they come in, fine. Have more than 4 people wanding, especially when you have at least 8 lines for people to take tickets.
Someone did a horrendous job of planning.

Let’s move down was a great resource available for one season. I believe the entrepreneur who created it sold it to a national firm and it pretty much died as far as x goes. Some friends and I scored row 2 tickets thru them.

They did this at the University of Tennessee hoops games. When X played them in Knoxville many moons ago (DNL coaching?), we were "invited" to move down to the lower bowl midway through the first half by the PA guy. Not sure if they still do it there, but a cool thing nonetheless.
I usually just wait til the second media timeout of the first half and then move down.
