Well you see the high school gym they're playing at is because they haven't built the actual high school yet, just the gym lol. So that explains why the locker rooms are trash as well as other things. As for the production crew that's on the tournament committee. I was thinking about attending the championship game tomorrow, I saw some sUCks fans out at the bar and gave them a "Lets Go X" and we got to talking, they said that UC was staying at the Marriott, so they're accommodations for stay are just fine, and they said the games were fine in person. Alabama Basketball Plays Most Of Second Half With Three Players, Almost Wins (https://nesn.com/2017/11/alabama-basketball-plays-most-of-second-half-with-three-players-almost-wins/)

A similar thing happened last year between UAB and Louisiana Tech - players from both teams in that one left the bench because of an in-game fracas. UAB won, but Louisiana Tech played 4-on-5 at the end of that game (and even outscored UAB in that stretch).
Difference here was that Alabama players left their bench - Minnesota players were smart enough not to do so.

Wofford down 10 in second half, come back and it's tied at 60.

My oldest daughter's Loyola Ramblers won their biggest game in probably 30 years last night beating Florida AT Florida. Definitely the biggest win since Porter Moser became the coach and since Loyola improved their situation by joining the Missouri Valley.
I'm really cheering for Loyola. It's been 32 years since they made an NCAA- longer than Xavier's drought between 1961 and 1983. DePaul won't play them anymore since Loyola beat them a few years ago. Too bad. That could be a huge rivalry game if they decided to build it again.
Oh, did I mention that Loyola Chicago has won a National Basketball Championship more recently than Clifton Community College? Just sayin' ............
PS: I hope Florida is totally pissed that they lost last night and they take it out on some helpless, hapless and clueless BoreCats and their troll, jaundiced Leprechaun coach.

Since there was not inbounds possession the restricted area was not an issue. But clearly the player was not set. The left foot may or may not have been on the out of bounds line (illegal screen). Also a screener should not be spread eags when setting a screen. Shoulder width feet is legal. Also I hate Steve Stricker.

I don't think we need teams to do well to build a good resume, the Big East will speak for it's self, as long as we keep trudging along and winning games, they can't discredit that. All that leads up to me saying, screw Wisconsin, they suck, and I hope they lose a lot of games.

I was at that asu game. They were missing early and Vandy hit. Mitchell was good for them when White wasn’t. ASU will have trouble with teams who score well on the inside. They play small especially when White has foul trouble.

Weird day so far. Outside our debacle lots of other teams scraped by like Texas A&M/NKU, ND/Dartmouth, Wichita St/Arkansas St, even VT/Presbyterian. Even now, Arizona St only up 5 at half over Longwood?

Not only did Wofford score an upset at North Carolina tonight, this was their first ever win against an AP Top 25 team (much less a Top 5 team).

Great win for the Terriers. They are a scrappy bunch, and Fletcher Magee can flat out light it up.
The were also the last OOC team to beat us at the Cintas 5 years ago.

Yet there are people complaining we didn’t close out Marshall to win by 20.

I was too harsh on our Muskies after last night's second half. I realize the circumstances and injuries was a lot for X to overcome. I admit I'm more of a pessimist, but in sports, I live and breathe Xavier basketball.
Wofford was #197 in KenPom's rankings. What a huge upset.

It's just hard to stay mentally sharp when it's around Christmas and you're itching to see family when you can, I don't blame them, wish schedules would work out a bit better around these dates, but games have to be played. We haven't slipped up yet, so let's hope it stays that way on Friday.

Also, I don't think this picture was actually from the Wofford game. It was the headline image on the WCPO story (https://www.wcpo.com/sports/college-sports/xavier-university-sports/late-rally-falters-xavier-stunned-by-wofford) about the game, but I'm pretty sure we were wearing Sandy Hook jerseys when we played Wofford. Still a great picture though.

I had the privilege of seeing him in person against Wichita State. Though I was rooting for WSU, it was a joy watching Young play. OU could basically just run a high ball screen and then let Young go to work. It’s so simple and so impressive.

How do you get under my skin before New Years? Simple. Publish something on ESPN that seems to dis us again.
OK...I can't read the whole article because its "Insider." But I get the headline, and first couple of paragraphs.
Opening teaser:
We took our first shot at this before the season. Now, with the benefit of a full nonconference slate, it's time for a few adjustments. Translation: It's time to pay more respect to Texas A&M, Arizona State and North Carolina.
Sure UNC is a blue blood. But, also cheaters U. Respect? Wofford beats you at home?
And then this from the first couple of paragraphs, published at 9:13 AM this morning:
The ACC has had one conference game, the Big Ten has had about a dozen -- but the rest of the power conferences have yet to get underway.
Seriously? Didn't we play 3 conference games yesterday.
Screw 'em.

(Maybe someone who is an "insider" can tell me if the whole article was more balanced.

Sort of from left field but with how many 3's Marquette put up last night I was curious about how many they average a game as a team compared to the rest of D1. Stats say they've attempted (385) which is good for 13th most thus far. What I saw that blew my mind is leading the country in attempts from deep is Savannah St. who've taken (563) so far this season!! 2nd in attempts is South Carolina Upstate with (453). For reference, we are at (282) this year.
Useless knowledge I guess and Savannah St. is really bad and hitting under 30% of those. It just sort of blew my mind that a team exists that shoots the three that much or a coach that allows it.

There's only two good shots in basketball: a shot at the rim, or a 3-pointer.
I'm happy to see both Xavier and Marquette realize that.

Most guys shouldn't be shooting in the mid-range unless they're left wide-open. Trevon is one of the very few exceptions to that rule. I don't even like J.P. shooting midrange shots except on the baseline after creating space.

Would you rather Trevon try taking it all the way to the bucket where he's known to not be a great finisher, or pull up from 15 feet with a good look at the basket? Give me Trevon and a pull up jumper every time.
