It's November and time for Xavier Basketball.

Anyone up for another season of Pick the Score?

Scoring Rules
Net the difference from the actual Xavier score and your predicted Xavier score.
Net the difference from the opponent score and your predicted opponent score.
Add these two numbers together and subtract from 100.
Award a 5 point bonus for picking the winning team.
Award a 25 point bonus for predicting both the winner and the exact score of the game.

Scoring Example
You pick Xavier to beat Morehead State 74-52
Xavier wins 69-54
74-69 = 5 (Xavier component)
54-52 = 2 Morehead State component)
5+2 = 7 (Sum both components)
100 – 7 = 93 (Subtract from 100)
93 + 5 (Add winning team bonus) = 98 (Your score)

There will be a Top 10 recap for each game, Year-to Date totals for the entire season and a separate Big East total for conference opponents.

Note: It does say conference opponents. If the event that Xavier was to play a Big East opponent in any tournament, that game will be counted in the Big East scoring.

All entries must be posted on the Xavier Hoops site by scheduled game time.

Why have 66 posts been made up to this point and almost 2000 views been made?

Are people really interested in your pick for MOREHEAD STATE other than when originally making their pick? I am just intrigued by this notion and wonder if anybody has another theory. Not sure why but it just seems odd to me.

Tell me why you come hear so often even after making your pick or are you visiting several times to make your pick at the last possible moment?

Do other people's picks really matter that much to you? Anybody's pick in particular that you rely on (or would that be revealing a trade secret)?
