Heard some whisperings of injury to Trevon’s shooting shoulder. Any truth to that? This would really blow.

Possibly torn rotator cuff? Please no

Really hope that's not the case, that's like a 6 month recovery period minimum..

I heard something similar. Saw on twitter (so, hopefully not true) he was getting MRI.

If he is done for the season, I don’t think I’ll ever question someone leaving early even if best case 2nd round pick.

I saw somewhere that it was a non-contact injury. Hoping it's not too serious.

Well, this is a terrifying thread to wake up to. Hopefully he is okay, for our sake and his.

That’s why you cannot have enough depth. This really blows but someone’s gonna step up.

I really, really hope this is just a strain...or a bad dream...or an April fool's joke on October 29th.

Per Shannon:

".@TrevonBluiett hurt his shoulder Friday in practice but the injury is not severe. Will sit out today's scrimmage but prob. not any games."

Everybody stand down.

I was too stunned to reply this morning when I first read this post. To read that his injury is not severe and he probably won't miss any games is such a relief. I'm sure Trevon is equally, or probably more, relieved than we are. Looking forward to a very big year from Tre.

Actually saw him at Beacon yesterday and he wasn't too fazed by it so I elected not to post on the board. He joked he was getting old.

7 point loss? Isn't OSU supposed to be terrible? I wonder what the hell happened.

Trevon didn't play. Without him, I'm guessing the rest of the team is aggressively average at this point.

Just like the scrimmage that Xavier lost to the OU Bobcats a few seasons earlier.

Saw this on the OSU board. Guy said he got it off the X board but I don't see it on here (sorry if I missed the thread).

Trevon Bluiett did not play. JP Macura played 20 minutes.
Ohio State beat Xavier 87-80.
- Goodin, Macura, Marshall, Gates, and O'Mara started allegedly.
- Kanter played the most minutes out of the three bigs.
- Quentin Goodin led X in scoring with 15 points allegedly. He got to the free-throw line a lot.
- Scruggs was very efficient shooting the ball and was 2-for-3 from deep. He was second on the team with 12 points allegedly.
- Marshall and Harden were both in double figures allegedly. Marshall had some turnovers that need to be cleaned up. Harden had a good showing.
- X didn't shoot many threes with Bluiett out and Macura limited. They got to the free-throw line a lot, though.
- Turnovers were an issue and something I'm sure the staff is going to focus on big-time over the next few weeks.
- Points off turnovers and second-chance points were the difference in the game allegedly.

It's from the pay board on Scout/247.

We lost to Bellarmine and made a Sweet 16. Zero worries.

Don't these things allow the coaches to hsve theother team run specific looks that the offense struggles against? I thought these were more learning scrimmages than an actual game. More situational than a free flowing game

Lol I know it's a scrimmage, and I'm not genuinely concerned, I was just curious as to what happened to lose to them. We have a solid squad, I'd be very shocked if we weren't pretty good this year.

Obviously, the goal of the game was not to win, but to work on some things, old and new (maybe even new plays / combinations / etc), evaluate players - especially new guys - and generally get some game practice against some quality competition (besides each other).

Although it would be nice to think we wiped the floor with "THE Ohio State University" (whatever), the final score is not very high on the list of concerns.
