Wasn't sure if this had been posted anywhere, but thought I'd bring it up for those that like to read CBB stories in general outside of X

This is the new website Seth Davis has now started since he left SI. It's part of The Athletic (which is great itself) but The Fieldhouse is strictly college basketball news and in depth stories. I myself have been pretty pumped for this to start because it's been really hard these days to find anything all that great on ESPN or SI in terms of College basketball. Most sites don't do much till February and even then, it's about the same names/teams.

It opened yesterday and I subscribed. I got it at $3.50 a month which seems very reasonable especially since there's no ads. Any way, Seth got Dana O'Neil, CL Brown, and Sam Vecenie among others to join the staff. So far the stories have been really good. They obviously covered the big scandal from the past week, but they're also doing in depth team profiles and player stories. Grayson Allen one I thought was good. Dana did a Big East preview today. And they're churning out multiple stories a day. Here's the link for those interested

F Seth Davis and his arrogant Doook attitude.

One of their main CBB writers is ex ESPN writer Dana O'Neil. Yeah the same Dana O'Neil who called the reformulated Big East " A Circus" in the summer before it's first season. Yeah. That Big East has a National Championship.

No thank you. I'm not paying for that flotsam & jetsam. No way.

I'll wait and see now that the Mothership is no longer influencing their articles.

Wow, some people just love to have grudges against everyone in the media I guess. Dana was always a talented reporter and gave us our fair due. Seth I can take or leave, but man this fanbase has such a chip on our shoulder.

I despise Seth Davis. Every other writer they have is phenomenal. Nobody puts out better content than Sam Vecenie IMO and Ken Pomeroy writing analytical pieces is going to be must read. Subscription is worth every penny.

Can we all agree that Gottlieb is the biggest asshole of them all? Add to that is incompetent and sucks at his job.

Don't get me wrong.. I unfollowed Seth Davis two years ago cause I couldn't stand his non stop politics. However, he vowed to leave that side out of all this and when it comes down to strictly college basketball and his writing, I do like it. I might be in the minority of that, but whatever. I still like Dana's coverage regardless of what she said 4 years ago. And if it's non stop college ball stories that covers everyone not just blue bloods then sign me up

Sorry. I don't pay for garbage from people who A) Excuse themselves from aggressively investigating the college basketball mess despite knowing "that it's gone on for 30 years". B) A Dookie who writes his first article on, who else, whitewashing a Dookie- Grayson Allen. C) A writer O'Neil who didn't have enough backbone or integrity to reject writing an article that her bosses clearly wanted her to write to push the "disrespect Big East" narrative.

No thank you. I'll save my money are read real reporters like Pat Forde, Dan Wetzel, Matt Norlander and Dan Wolken, et al.

Aaaaaaaand it only took 4 days to become political.

Interview with Steve Kerr today that, in part , discusses gun control.

No Thank You.

I'm not going to argue with you, because everyone has their own preferences on what they want. FWIW, that article is run on The Athletic domain site by an NBA beat writer, wasn't written by the college writers for the Fieldhouse which was the whole point of the post. If you want to read Yahoo, ESPN, CBS, Sporting News or whoever then fine. Generally they all the have same stories that cover the main headlines

Was just giving another site that'll actually give stories and previews of teams those others wouldn't care about.

I'll just admit that I'm not a fan of arrogant Seth Davis, who is the head guy of the Fieldhouse.

If he's involved, I am not.

See, as opposed to Seth Davis' pay site, THIS is what REAL reporters do.

This doesn't look good for Miller hiring Book at X.

Do any of our current assistants hired by Mack have this sort of time line...straight from and AAU team job to us?
