Technology Upgrades at Cintas

Most recently, Xavier installed a state-of-the-art LED lighting system provided by Musco Lighting, that will enhance the entertainment experience and maximizing its energy efficiency. The project manager from Musco has supervised installations from the World Cup soccer arenas in South Africa to the Olympic venues in Brazil.

A new LED display from ANC will be installed along the face of the new Lookout seating section. Measuring 142' x 5', this 16mm display will seamlessly integrate with the existing displays in the arena to display a variety of stats and other information in addition to completing the 360º LED fascia look within the arena bowl. Xavier and ANC first collaborated in 2010 on the main center-hung videoboard and fascia ribbon displays for Cintas Center.

Every TV within Cintas Center will have a new, crystal clear HD signal thanks to a new cable system plant. The channel lineup has been expanded to include more news, sports and family friendly programming than ever before. In addition to channels showing the game broadcast and a feed from the scoreboard, a dedicated stats channel makes its debut as well.

I understand a new sound system is on the wish list for future improvements, but it did not make the cut this year. I agree....we certainly need a much improved sound system....everything else gets very good grades....sound system is a D or F in my opinion.

Perusing Twitter today and I saw a couple pictures from practice yesterday. I've got to say the new lighting combined with the other changes during the offseason REALLY changes the look of Cintas Center. I'm excited to see it on TV and in person.

Also man, the court looks really pretty with this new lighting, it definitely should pop on television. Pretty decent off-season except for the whole 2018 recruiting class thing.

I don't know if it's the lights, but the floor just looks better. Much more solid without the skyline weighing one side. And the painted lanes look great.

It doesn't seem like it would be difficult to install some sound improving panels to this grid. May not be the whole answer to the sound issue but I bet it would help more than a little. My perspective on the sound is it seems to bounce around up there and just get muddled.

Just my opinion.

Does the internet work for everyone else there? Yesterday and Baylor game I was connected to cintas guest or whatever but couldnt connect to any sites or social media. Am I missing something?

The WiFi I the Cintas is not worth connecting to, you’ll have better luck using your own cellular network.
