Any news on expected release date? Looks like it was middle of September last year, but I'm having a tough time waiting another month. Just wanted to see if there were any rumblings on when we can actually expect it.

What are you guys looking forward to most once conference season rolls around? I'm sure Nova, obviously. After 4 f-ing conference home losses last year, I'm ready to see the home schedule, and hope these guys can defend Cintas a little better this time around.

On a personal note, I'm just hoping for solid match-ups the first couple conference games. The day after my first son was born in 2015, we blew the doors off the Cryers, while we watched from the hospital room. Today, we just found out our second child will be another boy... he's due NYE this year, so I'm imagining a smack-down of epic proportions on Butler would be a nice way to welcome him to the world.

I'm most hoping for the game at DePaul to be on a weekend to go see that new stadium. Single game tickets apparently go on sale Oct 1st.

We've lucked out the past 4 years with the game at DePaul. MLK day year 1 and a Saturday the last three years. Hoping that weekend streak can continue. Trying to make it to DePaul, Marquette, maybe Butler, and one of Seton Hall, Creighton, or Nova this year.

Doubtful it will be any earlier than mid-September. The NBA schedule has to come out first.

I'm hoping for a Saturday date with Creighton. A weekend trip to Omaha from KC sounds perfect.

Several conferences have announced their schedules already. Count the Big 12 among them. I had seen a tweet that the BE was supposed to be released mid September, so I'd expect it sometime this week.

I'm hoping Villanova is a weekend game. With them having to play in the bigger arena this year, may be one of the few times to see them on the road.

Glad no late Sunday afternoon games. I missed a Pick the Score entry and Ed blew his knee out. Bad day.

Too bad we don't get DePaul earlier in Chicago. They'll be bad and the shine will be off the new digs on 3/3.

Things of Note:
Villanova at Xavier. SATURDAY, February 17 at 4:30 on FOX. Love the Saturday. Love the time. Love the station.
Cincinnati at Xavier. Saturday, December 2 at 12:00 on FS1. 12/2 is CFB Conference Championship Saturday. Probably why this game has to be at Noon on FS1.
Both Butler Games are on Tuesdays. Would have been wishful thinking for the three biggest home games of the year to be at home, but would still like to see X at Butler on Saturday so more Xavier fans can attend. Oh well.
Xavier gets 5 games on FOX, potentially 6 if they are in the Championship Game of the Vegas Invitational.
Nova is playing all their home games at Wells Fargo Center this year so still unlikely that X wins but a better chance than at the Pavilion.
Xavier does not get MSG for St. John's in the regular season, they will be at Carnesecca Arena on St. John's campus.

Would not be out of the question for Xavier to start 6-1 in Big East play.
Toughest stretch for Xavier is probably at Butler, at Creighton, vs Seton Hall, vs Villanova.
No 3 game road trips for Xavier. There is a stretch of 4 road games in 6 games. At UNI, at Marquette, vs DePaul, vs Butler, at Providence, at Nova.

6-1 with wins (@Marquette, @Prov, H Butler, H Creighton) would arguably be the best reg season stretch in X history.

Love that they're opening @Marquette. Still have terrible taste in the mouth from that beatdown up there in Feb. Can't way to see X defend them now at full strength with more athletes

Both Marquette games were ugly last year, even though the game in Milwaukee was over before it started last year. At the time, it was easy to say it was just a by-product of Bluiett's mid-season injury.

Well, at least your not missing them play at the Garden. Last year they were first scheduled to play in Queens and then changed. I checked and it looks like the Knicks are the Garden that night. Back to Alumni Hall for me.

I'm torn on the Shootout. Cause I agree it is a prime time event. But to be honest, even when it's at UC, the game gets bumped to ESPN 2 and doesn't have that much national attention. So it doesn't make that much of a difference except to the city, which everyone is watching any way. And I like having the big games be on Saturdays. And that Saturday specifically is a great sports day to get an X win to start

Both schools should have Top 25 teams.

No reason whatsoever to not have this at a better time later in the day to get more viewership.

I've really only heard good things about Omaha. I'm excited to see it for myself. I actually drove through (saw the zoo and Rosenblatt Stadium) once about 10 years ago after going to a KU/Nebraska football game in Lincoln, but I haven't actually spent any time there.

I feel like there has yet to be a Villanova road game on a Saturday since the new big east started. Maybe there was one. Anyways every year I look and hope that that game falls on a Saturday and every time its during the work week. Not as easy as it sounds to get off of work and up to Philly in time for a week night game.

That really sucks for fans if that's the case. I bet a little letter writing campaign to the conference might change that for the future.

I'm betting that the network feels this matchup is higher value for ratings on a weeknight than going up against other sports/matchups during the weekend.
