I can't imagine any BE fans are particularly fond of us. I'd bet our best relations are with Villanova. they've been so dominant they're probably indifferent to most of the conference.

I myself am a hater, and would like to say the team I'm surprised to hate is Creighton. Their fans are insufferable. They've been better since Dougie McBuckets left, but still a pain.

Also Seton Hall, because they give us more trouble then they're worth. I think we're 3-6 against them since joining the BE.

It's the Butler, Dayton, and UC factor. If you like them, you hate us (and vice versa).

Probably more a combination of the tri-state rivalries vs. country wide hatred. We're not hated nationally, in fact, I think people pull for us outside of the tri-state.

The funny thing is that I am more indifferent now towards Dayton (since we don't play them) and UC (since we routinely beat them). Butler is annoying, but I don't honestly think of them much. Those teams fan bases do seem to think of X a great deal, though as evidenced by the vote totals. Interesting.

Other than Butler, Gtown quickly became my most disliked BE team. Cant stand their former coach, players, fans, or the school's overall culture.

Judging by their messageboard during the season, I'd say Creighton fans also have a hard-on for Xavier. Some of it goes back to the West-Korver rivalry and some from the 2-for-2 that Sean Miller scheduled later on.

Another difference between us and Dayton is that we relish wearing the black hat and they get offended at the notion that people would ever hate them.

Dayton fans are truly something, especially their online presences. I follow their program pretty closely because a number of friends went there. You get the good old boys like Swampy Meadows on UD Pride and then Blackburn and his outrages following. The twitter war between Blackburn with the "alt-right" UD fans (which seem to be a vocal crowd) and VCU's "politically correct" fans is one of my favorite things to follow online.

According to the article, the hate is coming from the UC folks...which is understandable.



Based on who was voting for which schools, the Marquette-Wisconsin hate and Xavier-Cincinnati hate is very, very real
