I am not sure if this was covered yet.
I am in Phoenix and am not missing this. I have a tentative small crew heading up and renting an Airbnb house. The drive is long for me but scenic. Who might else be coming? Post up now or closer to the games.
I found some two packages for $120 each that were decent seats.

My family and I are looking likely to be coming out for this, should know for sure by end of the month.

I too am thinking of driving up from Phoenix, but I'm on the fence right now. Love to see the Muskies play, but it's the holiday weekend and Saturday is the ASU-UA football game, which I never miss.

Great time last year in Orlando. It would be a definite for my first trip for Vegas if not on the actual holiday. Suggest all of Xavier Nation consider attending if they can ... great to be in a gym with a 100s of others (and have Xavier's traveler's dominate) and see some great BBall.

I'll be in Glenwood Springs, CO a few days before at relatives. Plan on taking the California Zephyr to Grand Junction on T'Giving and renting a car for the rest of the trip.

About 90% sure I'll be making the trip. Should know in about a month. Hoping to make it out to my first holiday tournament.

Does anyone have an idea of what days the games are played? Friday, Saturday, Sunday?
Assuming final game on Sunday, what time would it be? Thinking about flights.....

Pretty sure it is just a two day deal. Friday/Saturday.

i just double-checked, and the games are the 23rd and 24th (thursday/friday). if anyone cares and game times don't interfere with each other, the new vegas nhl team will have a home game on friday as well. oh, and i'll be going to the games as i live out here in vegas...

So it's not a tournament? Or is it one of those situations where the first game is played on campus somewhere?

Going with someone who enjoys magic shows. Any suggestions on who puts on the best show?

I emailed X yesterday. They said they'd be selling tickets through the university at a later date if people are interested in that. I'm going to hold off and see what they offer. Would enjoy sitting in the Xavier section.

Am I seeing this right on Ticketmaster? Behind the press table side, center'ish court, about 10 rows up run $290 for two tickets two-day pass. $37/game for two people. Some available behind one of the benches, with fees runs $360 for two tickets two-day pass.
Week later, I just pulled the trigger on some tickets really up close. I am hoping we end up behind X's bench for one game. That would be pretty sweet. This is my first time see us since the 2008 Elite 8 here in Phoenix.

My friends are deciding whether to leave Wednesday after work or very early Thursday morning. Of those going, who is staying the entire weekend? We are to bet on some football games.

I'm looking at either Wed to Sat or Wed to Monday.
There will be NFL games Thursday as well to watch when not at XU game. The Giants and Redskins play the late game Thanksgiving.

The Egg Bowl is Thursday afternoon (Vegas time) as well. And there's a ton of great college football that Friday.

Anybody know where the X section is at this event? I'm seeing tickets from 46 to 146:

Also, maybe a mod can change the dates on this thread to the 23rd and 24th

X ticket office told me their tickets were in 105 for $130 or $160. We bought ours in 106 for $64 each.
I'm heading in on Frontier Wednesday around 5 with my daughter and Xavier Bob. We are staying at the Orleans.

If anyone is still looking for a hotel, the Palms is pretty close to The Orleans, and it's cheap that weekend.

Sorry I know you asked this forever ago...
Mac king is awesome, funny, cheap(for Vegas), and only does day shows which can work really well for a schedule. Best bang for the buck hands down.
Skip Penn and Teller. Not worth the money and not that great of a show IMO.
David Copperfield is an amazing show, but expensive and he's just arrogant and cocky and that attitude carries into the show. If your travel companion hasn't seen him before, they should go just because it's one of those people that you should see before they die. Imagine having a chance to see MJ play for the Bulls.
I haven't seen Kris angel so can't comment on his show!

Going to XU's game on Friday (and probably 1 or 2 other Friday games). Anybody know how/if you can buy single game tickets or single day passes? The Orleans website only sells packages for the entire tournament. Hate to pay for Thursday games when we're not even arriving in Vegas until Friday.

It's my first Vegas trek as well, so I think we're going the copperfield route. Thanks for the advice. Might try and grab some day of tickets on the cheap for another show too if possible.

Anyone need any recommendations for Vegas while they're out here? I've lived here over 4 years and look forward to seeing a couple Xavier games instead of having to fly back to Cintas to catch a game.
I will note that the Encore isn't exactly close to the Orleans, but the Orleans has a pretty solid SportsBook. There's not too much within close walking distance from the Orleans, except a Home Depot and a pretty good Chinese Dim Sum restaurant. I would recommend going to Downtown Vegas where all the old casinos are next to 'Fremont East', which is kind of like OTR in Cincinnati. The area was pretty run down then Zappos put their corporate headquarters there and put money into cleaning up the area. It's pretty lively with bars, restaurants (an Evel Knievel themed pizza place), and the Container Park, which has a large, metal, flame-throwing Praying Mantis out front. Ha. And if you're wearing a jersey, be aware as some bars/restaurants don't allow them. I'll probably be around Fremont Street during the weekend.
And if anyone wants 2 free tickets to see Steel Panther at Mandalay Bay on Saturday night, let me know.
Macura or Justice? The early season battle of the Obnoxious is upon us.
Also, is there a worse look in college unis than the throwback mid thigh maroon outfits the Sun Devils are sporting? Gawd. Awful.

Hopefully the obnoxious, if that is what you call him, shows up. He has been in a funk the last two games.

+1. We need JP back. He's playing very indifferently.

After the first war it’s close but I’ll say Justice. If JP got the call on his flop (which was prob a moving screen if he didn’t) it would be even.
