We're taking over our 24 yr old's bedroom since he's been out of the house (we are so thankful) running his own film/lighting/grip company! Plan is to make it my Xavier man cave / den. It is an upstairs bedroom, but hey ... it's space that I can call my own - finally a place to store my golf clubs when they aren't in the car.

What ideas have you all implemented? Suggestions and pictures welcome!

I'm sure Nuts can help you out. Might get moved to a different place though.

Some pretty good ideas for Xavier man caves...

I also like the locker idea that they have too.

My wife would love a locker room near the door because it would be a good place to put all the shoes. I personally think a locker room properly situated would have high utility, and it looks like they use that one.

I wonder if the family ever faces any challenges if he brings them into the locker room for a pep talk.

Also, he clearly needs five lockers. Nothing making you feel like second string like sharing a locker.

My man cave, when we lived in Maine. Sadly it was all boxed up back in 2012 when we came here to FLA

I'm just getting moved in to our new home but I do have the inaugural big east banner from the Cintas rafters hanging in the garage. It's like 8ft tall.

My new wife just shook her head and went back in the house

Love the pic!

I'm still trying to wrap my head around "Maine to Florida".

I would love to be camped out in Maine for the next 90 days, returning to Florida after a couple good days of fall/leaf season.

Sounds like you got things off to a great start.

Rather than a man cave, I suggest a "bird's nest"

Homage to the Bird Zone. I'll start with the WBB program and teach them the finer points of that power defense. But then, I'll apply all my learned basketball knowledge from my early coaches and dedicate myself to improving Xaiver's free throw defense (now that I've been seated under the basket). Hope to see you and that brother of yours this season.

I got my Fathead Xavier wall decals: (link (https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-1679987/fathead-xavier-muskateers-logo-wall-decals.jsp?prdPV=1)). Some pic's will follow. Right now, we have our first coat of primer trying to cover up the previous orange paint.

it was a work move, not much going on in Maine.
On the man cave, not shown were the Byron and Joe fatheads. Bubble out of Byron's mouth, "Do it BJ, Do it"

How could you Kohl's? I used to like Kohl's. I did. This is unacceptable.

Homage to the Bird Zone.

What was the bird zone? 1-3-1?

I feel like it’s time to revisit this topic. Moving into a new place in November. Any updated set ups or memorabilia.

The thing "on the left" looks like a bar.
The thing "on the right" looks like an exercise machine.

Hmmm....

Thank you. I came to Xavier as a freshmen back in August 1984 so I've been hoarding Xavier trinkets and collectibles for sometime. I received permission from the lady of the house to do as I please as far as decorating in the basement. Thanks again.

Oh yes, when had friends from out of town so I had to move the exercise equipment from the room. And the bar. The bar is loaded. Believe me. I've told MOR and PMTHOR anytime they need a place to crash when Cleveland appears too distant they are more than welcome to crash in my basement.

Forgot I started this thread 2 years ago ... Here's a short tour of the "fan cave" ...

https://youtu.be/OVZ-0F90gyo

Some key features ... chair and a half recliner so my wife and I can snuggle (more than you wanted to know), various team posters, 2 clocks - one on local Chicago time and one on Xavier time, Christmas tree loaded with 1831 ornaments, hats - LHS hat ready to go, Drew/Justin/Romain growth charts, books/media guides/magazines/other nick knacks, 55 in curved 4K TV with a 1918 Xavier pennant and bobblehead collection below and crosstown shootout balls encircling above (missing only '10-11 and '16-17). NCAA and shootout chairs. Next to the big wall-mounted X is a framed photo and scorecard of my ace at the 2013 AFO outing.
