Xavier University senior forward/center Sean O'Mara (http://goxavier.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3958) has been selected to be part of a team of collegiate all-stars for USA East Coast that will head to Madrid, Spain this summer for competition against the National Teams of Japan, Venezuela, Mexico, and Senegal.

"I am really excited for Sean to gain a valuable international playing experience this summer," said Xavier head coach Chris Mack (http://goxavier.com/coaches.aspx?rc=193). "To add in the fact that Larry Brown will be the coach is only going to add to Sean's experience. I know he's excited for the August trip."

I'm a glass half empty sort of fella, but first thought that popped into my mind was Darnell Williams.

Just as easy to get hurt in open gym. These guys play basketball every single day.

And they go all-out so much of the time. During the season, it sounds like practices are more intense than games.

This is absolutely great for him and his development. Sean was spotty all year showing signs of both great play and total crap. Obviously his tournament was fantastic. This is great for him to keep competitive and learn from the master.

Anyone know how they selected these players? Most of the guys on the rest of the roster, I've never heard of
