Well, that's encouraging. We have a 4K TV and a 3D TV, with virtually no content to enjoy. Let's hope they live long enough to see this implemented.

Boy that tech stuff was WAY over my head.
Then I noticed the author mentioned grandpa watching Bill O'Reilly.
So I checked the date of the article. May 2016.
Maybe some of that stuff has already happened?

I don't believe you will. The tuner that accepts/converts the data package being transmitted is mainly what will have to be updated.
