Kacey White (http://www.goxavier.com/staff.aspx?staff=257) has resigned as the head coach of the Xavier women's soccer program to accept a coaching position with U.S. Soccer. White, who accepted the Xavier position in December 2016, has previously worked with U.S. Soccer as an assistant coach. White earned a spot as a player on the USWNT from 2006-10

That sucks, talk about a quick turnover, I understand US Soccer is a huge deal and definitely an ideal job, but man leaving within half of a year seems pretty rough.

I know coaching generally requires a lot of movement. But she's moved a lot -- even by coaching standards.

I think she could have helped the program out tremendously though, I mean in her one season as Green Bay coach, she took them from 4 wins to 11 wins... obviously knows something being a two time all-american at UNC as well. Sucks for the girls really.

I don't know. The people I know in womens' coaching are moving every 2 years or so. This move is definitely unfortunate.

Well, that stinks. Makes one wonder if she would have ever stuck around. I guess I understand the move but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I don't understand the move. I can't find any reporting on this outside XU press releases. And those are vague on the details. Combined, that tells me it's only an assist or developmental position.
