Scruggs went for 16, with 5 rebounds, while Marshall had 18 pts, and 7 reb. Scruggs very smooth and Marshall pretty good inside.

Very cool, what's the level of competition? What is this thing? Certainly encouraging.

Pretty decent talent. Had guys going to Xavier, Louisville, Indiana, Kentucky and Purdue that I know of.

It's an annual college bound All Star game in conjunction with the KY Derby Festival. Top recruits from around the midwest. Musketeer report has lots of highlights on twitter.
Game will be telecast on FS2 @7am Sunday.

Winning team scored 122 points.... not much (if any) defense played. Lots of high major recruits on the court and Scruggs and Marshall certainly were able,e to compete on equal footing with any of them. Typical all-star type game with lots of 3 point shooting, fast breaks, and forced shots.

Watching Scruggs was like watching Ed on steriods. If he decides to go to the hoop, you better get out of the way. Marshall got lots of 2nd chance points.

This sounds very promising, hopefully they pan out well, but definitely a positive sign going forward!! Goshhh is it October yet for Muskie Madness!?!?

Wonder if they both start? I know Scruggs is the highest ranked recruit at X, but not sure if Naji is 2nd.

Semaj was ranked higher than both I think. Kenny was probably close to both Paul and Naji.

With Goodin and Macura in backcourt, and maybe Gates and Bluiett playing 3 and 4, who are you going to sit?

I would imagine that Gates comes off the bench and the starting lineup will be Goodin, Scruggs, Macura, Bluiett, T Jones. If Bluiett leaves then Gates will start in his place.

If Bluiett signs, I would think Scruggs/Marshall would take his place unless we land another transfer that can play now. Kanter could be an option at the stretch 4 spot and Gates sliding to his natural 3.

Quade Green show. Naji's done some good things. Haven't seen Scruggs. Wasn't on the pre-game roster so maybe he missed the game? Green's team slaughtering Naji's team. Langford looks pretty good, but still losing out to Green. Green looks like a mini-AI.

According to box score naji's team won and he had 25. Looks like the game had big time talent in it. The losing team had two guys going to KY and also Trent. Final 198-152. Typical all star game.

Even if it's an all-star game, putting up 25 is definitely promising, I'm really excited to see the future of Xavier basketball, especially with the 7th ranked class in the country according to Scout. Can you say salivating???
