“Realistically you can’t win no championship with three white guys because the foot speed is too slow,” Ball told Fowler. “I told Lonzo – ‘One of these games you might need to go for 30 or 40 points.’ It turned out the that was the one game. Then once they get to the Elite 8, they’re right there.”
As Fowler notes, it’s easy to pinpoint who Ball is referencing: Thomas Welsch, Bryce Alford, the head coach’s son, and T.J. Leaf, who is so slow he’s expected to be a first-round pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.
Lonzo Ball, a consensus first-team All-American, was anything but that in his final game in college. The 6-foot-6 freshman phenom was 4-of-10 shooting from the field with 10 points, eight assists, and four turnovers.

I'm going to miss this guy in College Basketball (SARCASM).

Did we really expect to win anything this year with Macura and O'Mara playing so much?
And one hulking white dude definitely was to blame for Gonzaga not winning a championship.

This guy has an ass where his brain should be. Lonzo seems pretty even keel. Lavar can't keep the hole in his faced closed. What a nut.

Yeah it had nothing to do with Lonzo's guy scoring 39 on him.
Nothing would make me happier than this kid dropping in the draft, but sadly it won't happen. At the very least I hope it causes him to miss out on some endorsements.

I don't wish any ill on the kid just because his dad is a very effective troll.

Damn man, don't take it out on Lonzo. I follow CBB pretty closely and I've never even heard the kid's voice. He was really fun to watch.

I would have told my dad to STFU by now.
I've also watched him. His a nice player but not worth the hype bestowed upon him. He'll be a good to average NBA player.

Lonzo has basically said that there's no shutting his father up -- that this is who he's always been and it's who he always will be. He's probably right. It's just that until now his father didn't have a platform.
And to be clear, I agree that dad's an effing asshat.

Of course. He's a media goldmine. I can't stand the guy, and yet I clicked on the ESPN article...

That's WHY they keep putting the mic in front of him!
IMHO that makes the media assholes as well. But, having said that, I already thought that about most of them anyway.
