If Tre and Ed come back, what is Xavier's ceiling? IMO with the combination of veterans and a great incoming class coupled with the great coaching staff, I have to say with all sincerity.... A National Championship. Now that doesn't mean Xavier would win one but the with that team they would be serious contenders.

Our lineup 1-4 would be top 5 for sure. Still have some doubts about consistent production at the 5 but if O'Mara and Jones can build off of their excellent March performances then I like this team more than last season's team.

I don't think we'd have the preseason ranking of this past season but I don't see why this team couldn't reach an Elite 8. There'd be so much more depth and I think we'd improve defensively with the young guys being better athletes than some of the current guys on the roster.

We lose Gaston and Bernard. Gaston didn't provide much in the tournament but there were stretches in the regular season where he was scoring and rebounding in the double figures. He always played hard but I think the improvement of Tyrique and Sean and the addition of Ernst would more than offset that loss. And Bernard played awesome in the tournament but I think Scruggs and Naji can fill the hole that he leaves behind.

Last year's team was far superior to this year's team in almost every facet, yet they fell short by two games in the NCAAT. It's all about how well the team plays and at what point in the season they are playing their best basketball.

Well of course we don't know what's going to happen.

We don't have crystal balls...we obviously can't predict the future. But if those two come back, Final Four is definitely a realistic goal. Of course there's a chance that may not happen...but it's realistic.
