Gonzaga's big guy isn't any better than Arizona's big guy.

Arizona's bigs are way better cause they are more versatile. The only difference is they are not going to stay away from him the final 11 minutes like Zona did. However, the Zags have nowhere near the overall athletic ability and quality that Zona has. I said it once and I'll say it again... the winner between X and Zona was taking this region. That will be proven true around 8:15 tonight!!!

They're different bigs. Arizona big (the white kid) is quicker, can shoot and prefers the jump shot. Zags big is huge and really good at true big man game (low post moves, using his body, etc.) This is going to be tough...though, I think with the zone, that traditional big would struggle more. I hope.

Yes they are different, but with our personnel that is a good thing. We all know Omara and Jones were outclassed athletically by Zona's bigs. Now both can sit back and body him up. Yes it's going to be a war down there, however I'll take both just fighting down low as opposed to having to guard the perimeter. This matchup is right down Omara and Jones alley moreso than Arizona

Sean and Ty have displayed some old school post moves that take the ball directly to the iron. Don't think the big Pole's ego could allow this w/o getting real physical. See I'm really not worried about him at all. If anything I am only worried about one thing with Gonzaga. They are very good about getting their hands up in passing lanes. The one thing I don't want to see tonight is lazy interior passes or highlight reel passes because those will get stolen. As long as we take care of the ball and keep them out of transition we will have the advantage

I am somewhat worried about him- because his effective use opens up a ton for that offense. He is a really good passer out of the double team. (Granted, watching WV- he wasn't much of a factor. Not sure if foul trouble of that WV full court D made it hard to keep him in). My biggest concern with Gonzaga is that defense. Every single guy gets right up in you/wont let you breath type defense. STAMMINA is right, we can't get lazy on our passes.

I heard Zags players saying X runs too many defenses to study at this point in the season so they're gonna attack whatever they see and attack it quick. Coach Mack had our guys doubling on Zona's post players and it frustrated them...Bigly. I wouldn't be surprised to see a little more of that. Oh yea...Dickie V picked X baby!

It's not just tre. No one will take a 3. Macks game plan was to let Gonzaga shoot 3s and for X to not take any. I also think tre shoots better when he's not wide open.

I've been an X fan for well over 10 years and that was the most disappointing loss of them all. Yes, great run by this team but it really stinks to have it end against Gonzaga. It seems that we always get wrecked in the E8 game. The officiating was horrific in that game but so was X's effort.
