I still think going to the E8 the first time during The Run was bigger for this program, but this run is more impressive in terms of the teams we're beating and how we're doing it.

Ehh. The opening round game was a bit easier in 04 (over #10 Louisville, but a win over the Cards is significant for other reasons). After that, we beat the 3 seed and 2 seed just like this year. Mississippi State and Texas were actually ranked higher in Pomeroy (#15 and #16 respectively) than either Florida State (#25) or Arizona (#18). Plus it was the first time. I think that one was bigger and probably more impressive as well.

Obviously some cool highlights of Team 94, but man. The clips after the shot from Koenig cuts to black... Mack's face... the painful shots of the players. Holy shit, what a way to go out. But now? Well, here we are. Team 95 is still writing...

It does make me feel a little sad for Ed though, I gotta be honest. I know it's awesome for him to be there and everything. But I wish he was actually on the court to get his redemption. X wouldn't have been what they were last year without him and I still think he got the shaft on that charge call against Wisconsin. Maybe he'll get his next year if he comes back, he's just one of the better kids IMO character wise X has had come through the program.
