I know we all want to act like we're disrespected at every turn and get indignant when an 11-seed isn't the most covered team heading into the Sweet 16 weekend, but this is an interesting story from ESPN about how Mack and Co tried to turn things around during the losing streak. Hadn't heard of this before: http://www.espn.com/blog/collegebasketballnation/post/_/id/118840/how-an-ash-filled-jar-saved-xaviers-season

I bet there are more than a few posters that wish they could print off some of their predictions and posts from that time and toss them in that fire (myself included).

This is why I posted in that Disrespect thread, that the only college ball writer I care for at ESPN is Borzello. He actually understands the college game and programs outside of the blue bloods because he spends so much time on the recruiting trail and gets to know a lot of the programs/coaches.

Really cool story though. Obviously everyone had their frustrations during that awful stretch but just goes to show Mack has time and time again proven not to count him or his teams out. Funny how this particular sport is. Program has made it's name by being underestimated and winning when it counts all while generally being an underdog. And last year, set records, get the respect, and get knocked out. Pretty ironic

There's still room in that jar for a burned out Lexus.

Lets hope this March is infinitely better than last March as well. That would be pretty good.
