There is no better feeling than complaining about the announcers(or the referees) AFTER you've won. When Macura missed 3, he put himself to make the tip steal for the layup. Gates and Goodin with travels, followed by key dunk/foul shot. Blueitt a terrible first half and a great second half and some tough boards, Bernard inspector gadget a little of everything Jones/Gaston not much in numbers but a presence. Some turnovers based on indecision, if you could eliminate them it would be a plus 6 every game. Very proud and O'Mara has silenced all the doubters as I knew he would. Go X

Boys and Girls. If there was any doubt that Xavier is a Big Time program, it is now totally destroyed.

We just beat a big state school from a big time conference in the NCAA handily. There is no surprise, there is no hoopla. Despite some making us an underdog, even the BS ESPN BPI gave us almost a 60% chance to win this game.

Satisfaction in winning? Absolutely. Surprise that we won? No. Ecstasy that we advanced? Not a bit.

Acting like we've been here before.....Because we have been.

the strange thing is that JP missing the 3 foul shots psyched up Maryland, then his tip steal and layup confused them and they were actually never the same after that. I still think Bernard's lament after Marquette turned the season around....he must have felt like the only senior transfer who did not contribute to making the dance. Thankfully not so...and despite his decreased numbers watching florida state he will have a bigger role

Lets celebrate though!!!! If you would have told me Q would have 9/9 and O'Mara would have 18/7 in an NCAA tournament win I would have called you crazy. This is the best feeling. The night after an NCAA tournament. Especially with this team. 22 wins and counting. Gosh I love Xavier basketball.
Enjoy the games tomorrow. That is another great feeling to get a win on the first day and enjoy the games knowing Xavier gets another crack. Again, especially with this team.

I was not able to watch or listen to the game, so I went to YouTube and found it there. It has been edited with no commercials or other game stoppage. Condensed to a little over 40 minutes.....just game action. Very unusual to watch this way. The game was never in doubt. I was VERY impressed with our defense intensity throughout. Basically Melo was a non factor. The 2nd half 3 barrage is even more impressive when seen with no game interruption!
