The Wisconsin guys I spent so much time with this week have been going to a warm tournament site for 20+ years. They say they have been to some really great places for a tournament experience like Austin and San Diego, but NASHVILLE is by far their favorite. It just so happens we got a place for our son their and I have a bedroom to myself, without staying at some jacked up hotel room. We decided over a bonfire in the parlking lot (yes, that happened) that if there is such a thing as a Best Western, there must also be a Worst Western, and that was where I was staying. (Vail next week, not splurging on everything!) Look forward to X beginning their run in Nashville next year.

So Big East hater, Yellow Toothed Gnome and BeelzeBob Thuggins lover Mike DeCoursey write a hit piece on sporting news.com yesterday slamming the Big East for getting 7 bids, saying in essence that Providence, Seton Hall and Marquette only got in on the strengths of victories over Xavier and Creighton who had injury issues. No mention of other conferences.

Welp, the Big East still has 2 alive out of 7. The ACC has 1 out of NINE. AAAAAAAAAAAAC, and A10 done. He might want to revise that article.

BTW? Illinois State from the MVC should have gotten in, but how about disrespecting Wake, or Kansas State who had a lower RPI than Providence? But no, he has to take a slam at the private school league that he hates.

Not hard when they hire his dad as an assistant. I have no confidence in them or Cuonzo. I think he leaves job early enough before anyone can figure out if he's a good coach or not.

He's a decent coach which is all us Mizzou fans really care about. It was a tremendous hire in my opinion, and don't think Mizzou could have done better. A local guy who will be able to solidify relationships across the state's high school programs. Not sure if you have noticed but there has been a ton of talent come out of the state lately and there is more to come.

Credit to USC but getting to play a 4 seed who is missing their starting center to make the Final Four is a nice break. I would love for X to get the chance at a Final Four without having to play a 1 seed in the Elite 8.. Seriously, no luck when it comes to catching Elite Eight breaks. Some of our round of 32 breaks are legendary, however.
