View Full Version : A Little Perspective

I don't start a lot of threads here but I was a little bummed about the loss and perhaps a little bored (and most assuredly a little buzzed) so I went over to UDPride for some Cryer meltdown entertainment. A little perspective ladies and gents as to where we came from, where we are now and where we left those who used to call us rivals ...

From UDPride (bold is my emphasis):

This reminds me so much of how we ended last year. Were way behind to Duquesne, had to come back to win. Got behind 10 in the first 5 minutes to Bonaventure and lost at home. Freaking SLU was beating us 12-4 in the game where they took us to OT on the road. Syracuse just blitzed us the whole game in the tournament, because we couldn't finish near the rim or hit any shots.

Now we are repeating the pattern. Seen it against Davidson and St. Bonaventure, both games we were fortunate to come back to win. GW, we weren't. At some point, you have to learn from your mistakes, but as good as we are, sometimes teams come out and punch us in the mouth, and we have nothing for them.

--------------------------------------------------------
OK enough of that. Next week ... WE RIDE!!

I'm sure he wasn't alone. How could I be so sure, you ask?

Are the VD fans saying they want to play against us? You would think they would have learned their lesson by now.

As far as the season is concerned, they have an undistinguished resume and play in a weak conference. You do you have to respect a group for achieving a high-level at something, even when that something is delusion.

I'd say a little perspective is we lost a great game last night with a few great shots at the end and we unfortunately didn't make the last one; however, maybe getting an extra day of rest isn't the worst thing in the world considering Nova is again firing on all cylinders

Also, I've seen Creighton miss a few wide open 3's since I turned this game on.....WTF? They're 4-17 tonight

I think they were 1/9 at some point....so it's getting better.

But NOOOOO, they can't do that against us.

Great tweet from @MikeDamoneDandV tonight during that game...

"Sorry, Creighton. Looks like the shooting deal you made with Satan was good for only one game."

Back at you AmX. I was but actually never touched the bourbon. I actually think it might have been better to have an extra day off since we likely would have got waxed by Nova. We're a 10. In Indy. Vs. Michigan. Mark it down. No Dayton this year.

What is f-ing crazy is that they were 4-20 in the game vs Providence. 4-20!! This makes NO sense because the is no way the Friars defend the arc better than X. Different night I get it but the Jays sucked from 3 Thursday.
