Welp, that was humbling. At least trevon is back on the floor.

According to a tweet this is the first time we have lost 4 in a row since the 2012-2013 season.

That made me curious, when is the last time we dropped 5 in a row. Gallows humor I know. So unless I missed something, according to the guide that would be 1981-1982!!!

Then I thought the stakes are higher. We need one more win to keep the "conference win in season" streak in tact. We need 2 wins to keep the 20 win regular season streak in tact.

To add salt- DePaul just took down Georgetown at Georgetown

Well, I was there '81-'82. It's been nothing but up since! Not worried about the current streak. I am looking at the big picture, and encouraged!

And our next opponent just beat the #2 team in their own gym...feeling little optimism.

That's actually good. That means that Futler played their game of the year and they'll suck rocks on Sunday. Not kidding.

Yeah, I'm not too concerned about what Butler did against Nova. It certainly does help our game on Sunday from a metrics standpoint. And Butler did lose against Providence like a week ago, so it's not like they've been streaking as of late.

We all knew this 0-3 stretch was highly likely, especially since it was on the road.

We fell apart to Providence, who has defeated Butler recently and took down Creighton in Omaha last night.

We were trounced by Marquette, who also trounced Creighton in Omaha and beat Nova when they were #1.

And last night, we lost at Seton Hall, whom we have never beaten in NJ. SH also beat Marquette and Creighton this season.

That three-game stretch was going to be difficult any way you slice it. It's just difficult that we had to take those games in succession (after #2 Nova) with a makeshift roster, so there was no "soft landing spot" after one of those games. We don't get to play Tulsa or South Florida after playing Marquette or Seton Hall.

Looking forward to righting the ship on Sunday.

Honestly I'm not sure we win at Providence or Marquette with Tre.Three straight on the road in this league is tough,I don't care who you play.Butler has lost a few head scratchers this year-SJU and GTOWN so I'm not writing off Sundays game.Would be a huge win and make me feel a whole lot better abput our tourney chances

I think we could've won at Providence with Tre, but not at Marquette. I mean, it was NATIONAL MARQUETTE DAY, after all.

Why wait for Sunday? Go to any college basketball site and look at RPI, tournament projections, etc.
