Has anyone bought tickets for the 2017 tournament in Las Vegas? I saw tickets went onsale on 2/3. Xavier will not have a block of tickets for the tournament, so tickets will need to be purchased through the tournament site. I wasn't sure if there was a section that Xavier fans were trying to purchase in.

Really wish this didn't fall on Thanksgiving day or else it'd be a must go

So we will have two of Rider, Hampton, UC Irvine, and Northern Arizona at home next year. My guess is GW and us will both have Rider and Hampton due to geography. Rider is 219 and Hampton is 313 in kenpom this year. Blah.

Normally, I'd wish for a team like UC-Irvine as a buy game - they're usually one of the better teams in the Big West. That league is way down this year and their bid winner is headed for Dayton.
As for Rider, their infamous moment this year was at Siena when there was a fracas between both teams after a foul and Rider's coach ran off the bench to get in the face of Siena players and coaches. It led to a very funny moment in the endgame where Siena coach Jimmy Patsos was shaking hands with the air.

I'd say this was better (or worse, depending on your point of view) considering this involved a coach.

I was never a fan of Patsos, but after seeing that happen I think I am now.

That's disappointing. Right now, with 6 games left, we've played just 2 teams outside the top 150 RPI (using realtimerpi), quite a feat. Missouri at 245 and DePaul at 232. Next closest is Buffalo at 137.
So adding our 2nd DePaul game as a sub-150 game, just 3 of our 31 regular season games will be against sub-150 RPI teams. Pretty remarkable, certainly some luck involved but glad to see we put together solid non-conf schedules. And glad we're in the Big East.

That's a pretty weak field. Would be nice to continue our recent hot streak of early season tourney success. Vegas? I'm already 95% in for this.

Huge Fairfield fan here. Patsos is not only a gem to the MAAC but a gem to college basketball.
While he's very much insane, I have heard his players absolutely love playing for him. Supposed to be a good guy to.
