Just some interesting tidbits. Take them for what they are worth, if anything.

20-11 overall. 9-7 in the Big 12. Leading scorers are all 6'2 forwards. Kelsey Griffin
(15.1ppg), Danielle Page(12.9ppg) and Corey Montgomery(9.3ppg). All 3 are also their leading rebounders. Seem to be similarly young, with only one Senior(Page). Average about 70 ppg and give up 62/game on average. 38 rpg and 18 TO's/game. Don't shoot the 3 particulary well(.316) but take about 20/game.

Comparatively speaking, they have 3 common opponents with XU. They beat Florida early in the season 90-63 in Nebraska. Beat Akron 75-47, also at home. Went 1-2 against Kansas losing by 1(62-61) at Kansas, winning by 20(71-51) at home and losing to them again in the first round of the Big 12 tourney 73-67.

XU lost at Florida 82-71, won at Akron 84-59 and lost at home to Kansas 62-60. Discounting the Florida game(Tudy and April were not eligible yet) they seem to match up somewhat well with the Huskers. Should be interesting.

If they're a defensive-minded team like Temple, GW, or West Virginia, I'd be real concerned about this game. I suppose it's good that they're not a perimeter-oriented team; sounds like a team that X could at least come back on if they fall behind early.

X needs to recruit some guards that can shoot the three quick or they will never benefit from the skills of Harris and Phillips. Nebraska is sagging inside and just giving them wide open outside shots. Great scouting on Nebraska's part.

Brutal start for the ladies - they really haven't made a dent into the 13-2 lead that Nebraska opened up with.

At least the defensive has been very aggressive since that point; nice steal and layup by Mo to keep the Muskies within striking distance.

Yeah. This has been an obvious problem all year. It's easy to defend a team that can't shoot the 3.

The guards have to step up if X is to pull this one out.

These refs are awful.

Ta'Shia has made some really bad decisions with the ball today. Another turnover.

Nice comeback, but too little too late.

I don't understand why we have to get down by so much before we actually start playing.

Jerri should have taken more shots today. She's our best outside threat by far.

Xavier had no answer for Kelsey Griffin; she always came up with a bucket whenever Xavier would make a run in the 2nd half.

It's a little disappointing to lose in the 1st round for 2 straight years, but the team has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. They matched last year's accomplishments with a rebuilt roster and will certainly be a much more experienced team for 2008-09.
