Dang me.
Between a weird start time, a bad cold, and preparing a fantastic dinner of pork parmesan, I didn't get a pick in.
Miss one -- and I'm done.
Have a ball guys -- and thanks, as always, to SKYWALKER for running this always pleasant diversion!

Same thing happened to me. Guess we can still try and pick a best score for the week.
Skywalker: Any chance you could amend the rules to allow people who forget to post their prediction to automatically receive the low score for that week- so at least they could potentially still have a chance to stay in the hunt for top score at the end of the season?

Dont you think that would be a little unfair to those with the low score who did remember but got the low score. Just keep putting your picks in. You never know who else might forget and maybe you get back in it.

Actually, it would be very fair... AS LONG AS the individuals who forgot to submit their predictions were then given the lowest score... (i.e. They are given a score lower than the score given to the individual who remembered to submit a prediction and then had the worst prediction).
By doing it this way, it would penalize those individuals those who aren't able/ forget to submit a prediction ona given week, yet it would still allow them to potentially work their way back and have a chance to win by the end of the season. Conversely, not giving those individuals any points for the week, pretty much ends almost any possibility of them ever being able to get back in the game.

I really don't have any plans on changing the rules. It seems to have worked fine for the last 6 years. Anyway, it's not like you only have an hour to post a score. You usually have 3-4 days. Tournaments are exceptions and I generally allow conditional preposting. If this was for prize money I could see your point but this is for amusement only. So it is what it is.

You are correct, it would be unfair to the people who submitted a score on time and got the low score

so let's say that I don't post a score all season, but now i want in on it, so you just give that person the cumulative of the lowest scores for all the games of the season?
How about you quit complaining about this game, if it really means that much to you then don't forget to post your score on time.

Relax Francis... no one is complaining.... it was just a suggestion since it seemed more than a few people missed posting a score at some point during the season.
But for the record (since you asked): If you were someone who didn't submit any predictions all season, you would be so far behind everyone (since you would be given the lowest score every time you did not submit) that it would be next to impossible (if not impossibe) to win.

Totally understand. Fair enough. Plus, I realize how much more time consuming it could end up being for you. I only brought it up because someone else had posted that they too missed submitting a prediction and (like me) realized they are pretty much unlikely to ever be able to make up the points and have a shot to get the top final score because of it.
And yes... you are right in that it is just for amusement - not cash. Honestly, I still enjoy submitting predictions, knowing I may be able to at least pick the closest score for the individual game.
I want you to know that I really appreciate you putting this together SkyWalker, so we all can have a little added fun before every game.
Cheers!
