This will be a big game for Providence. Cooley has really earned his paycheck so far this year. Will be interesting to see how they do against real competition.

The only thing they're good at on the offensive end is three-point shooting. They shoot a decent number of shots from behind the arc, but it's not like they're Northern Iowa. However, they make up for this on the defensive end, where they are really good.

I see Nova DePaul on my direct tv guide for FS1. Only see X on some regional fs I don't subscribe to. Don't even see a replay on fs1.

I know. I cancelled my sports package because I thought every conference game would be on one of the big networks. This sucks. Who cares about Depaul while X is nationally ranked.

I think we'll see more of a push for FS2 to be added to more cable networks (and the HD tier) once the Big 10 also begins to broadcast some of their games on the Fox family of networks next season.

I get 2 FS regionals. One has NHL and one has NBA on at game time.

At 6:30, FS1 starts with Nova DePaul; they follow that at 8:30 with Georgetown/Marquette

At 7:00, FS 2 is in the middle of a Rhonda Rousey replay, so that 8:00 they can start the Seton Hall/Creighton game.

Comcast, at least in Virginia, doesn't offer it at all, even if you have literally every channel offered.

Getting an actual home-and-home series with a 'Big Six' conference team was a really big deal. Even when the opponent was 'mostly not good', Xavier seemed to find a way to give away the game. We often seemed to become intimidated by the name on the jersey.

If that is too subtle a point, things are light years better now. If being ranked #17 and playing Providence is about the 12th most important conference game is mediocre, I eagerly await the days of above-average.

Yeah, there are about two years in 25 when Providence would have been in contention for being our top non-conference home game. Things are obviously better now, but there's no need to exaggerate.

Okay, it's my first Cintas game in a long time and I didn't have time to hit up Dana's or Listermans ahead of time (still at Betta's). Where are the craft beer stations now in Cintas? The wife and I will be in 116 (student section), but I wouldn't mind a stroll during a break in the action.

Xavier has had great ball movement and have had a decent number of good shots. Providence's defense is really good, though, and have made it tougher.

By the way, they dropped 39 first-half points on a top 25 defense and Xavier doesn't play that fast. That's pretty damn good.

It was hot in Cintas last night. It's like they didn't know what temperature to pick with a realistic looking "sellout".
