Trap game? Ankle biters right before the very athletic and talented Baylor?

Huge-grain-of-salt early Kenpom rankings put them just inside the top 100. Not a bad team, but not a good team either. Good enough for trap game to be a possibility or at least a "disappointing win."

The loss at Missouri State on Sunday was kind of surprising. They're actually pretty good, or at least they can be. I think they're capable of being a lot better than what they've looked like so far. They're a frontrunner along with IPFW in their conference. If Xavier isn't looking ahead to Saturday they should beat them rather easily, though.

Really interested to see how many minutes Kaiser is able to go. Can't imagine he has that much stamina built up just yet. Just please no trap game and take care of business so they can work on some things and get him back in the flow for some meaningful action on Saturday.

Not to look ahead, but that will be Q and Tyrique's first big road experience and I'm not sure how much Mack will throw them into the fire (although will be beneficial to both of them). So going to need Kaiser to keep progressing for that extra body.

Well, our team is on another, better level than above average D1 teams.

White Death lineup at the end sure sign of a blow out.

If #23 for NDSU wants to transfer, I think we could find room.

We were joking he was auditioning for where he plays his final year of eligibilty at.

I scored some last minute free seats in Section 110 (center court) row 3. So glad I took them, amazing seats, going to start saving now for my season tickets down there when I'm old! I always used to think my old tix in 202 were all I needed but what a view from those seats!

From the box score it looks like JP had an off night.

A little off shooting, but the averages had to come back. Still 3rd in scoring with decent RB, steals and assist stats. And of course, pesky as hell (3 steals)!

I blame the Delilah who gave him the buzz cut.

I'm happy Sean played well after my criticism. Usually happens that way.

Didn't seem like it to me. Hit some nice shots, had rebounds, assists, and steals. Played defense. Stats ain't everything. He did make some bad passes that resulted in turnovers, but I will attribute that to being overly aggressive at times and not to selfishness. There was about 7-10 minute period in the 2nd half where the team got sloppy offensively and a little lax defensively, but at that point they were up 30 points. Coaches are always going to try and get the players to play at their max capabilities for every minute they are on the court, no matter the score, but it's just not going to happen 100% of the time. Especially true against inferior compition and with big leads.

I was impressed that none of the players appeared to be looking ahead to the next game and didn't come out flat. They put it to NDST from the get go and didn't let up until half way through the 2nd half and a 30+ point lead. I think a big part of that was the aggressive play on both ends of the court by JP and others. He didn't always play smart, but he did play hard. Can't ask for much more than that.

He took a few heat check threes that didn't go in and actually missed a floater or two for once.

Agree completely. And X has done that in the past during some BE games against the bottom half where it drives you nuts that they're letting someone hang around... But last night was a different case. Even during that stretch, I hadn't looked at the score and got that same feeling then saw we were up 30 still. Ha, so can't really blame em. Just end the game without anyone getting hurt.

JP had some nice passes, especially to O'Mara. 3 point shooting was nice to see, especially Goodin, Bernard, and GATES. Watched a lot of other games last night too and couldn't stop thinking how X's bigs would size up with some other guys. We'll sure find out come Saturday

I agree. He is hard to listen to. I was sort of going crazy listening to him talk about how bad a night Sumner was having and how the team really needs him to step it up and be aggressive.....when we were up 30! He did EXACTLY what the team needed him to do. He distributed, played D. No need for him to press. It was just plain strange.

Yep. I'll take 7 assists and 0 turnovers from a PG in a 30 point win every single game.

I think there were more posts about SJU losing last night than there were about the Xavier win...
