I notice all the #1 seeds have been wearing away jerseys for these tournaments. Maybe this has already been covered but can someone explain why?

I'm curious why we wear black jerseys so much. I love them, but I'm surprised how much more often we seem to wear those over the navy.

These tournaments aren't really officially seeded as far as I know. Whoever is on the "top" of the bracket for each matchup is wearing a dark color.

Do you know why they chose to do that? I like our road blues the best anyway. Not a huge fan of the Black

I agree with this. I think the black jerseys look great, but they are becoming Xavier's primary away uniform and have no school colors. X wore navy maybe 3 or 4 times last year? Not necessarily complaining, but I'm just curious as to why they wear them so often. If I had to guess it would be because the players like them more than the navy jerseys.

Ya, I'm pretty sure the players love the Black unis. I've noticed they seem to wear them for games where they need a "backs against the wall" mentality. I'll say this, when I saw they were wearing them against Michigan last year, I knew X was gonna ball out. I like the edge it gives them.

Only thing missing yesterday was Mack's Big East pullover! lol!

I'm pretty sure Mack leaves is up to the players. And I think the players like the black a lot better than the navy. I know a couple years ago they wore the grey a couple home games in a row cause the players thought it brought good luck. And IMO, the current navy ones don't have the same sharp look that the black do. Think it also has to do with the new style and everything. With all the extra stuff they wear, they like to match it all up. So if they go with navy, that means navy leggings and navy socks, which doesn't look as good as black.

May be reading way too much into it haha, just assuming that's how the young guys look at it. I do agree though, it takes away from them being "alternate" jerseys if they wear them all the time

it 100% is the players preference. They may not get the only vote, but generally what the players like is what they are going to go with. If they wanted to wear grey at home more, that would happen as well. I love the black WAY more than the navy.

Why am I drinking scotch? The whole reason Xavier brought back the black alternates was because the players wanted/liked it and its a recruiting tool. What's hard to understand about that? If the players wanna wear black on the road or even at home for a big game, guess what? Id bet money they wear black.

I believe we wore 3 different uniforms in that tournament. First day we wore blue, then white then black. If there would have been a 4th game we probably wore gray.
