Or we could just pass the common sense spending cuts and avoid the mess and threats to Democracy.

Wonder why that didn't come up under the last administration?
What we got were tax cuts, not spending cuts. And no hostage taking on the debt ceiling.
The cuts I've seen proposed so far are Medicaid and Food Stamps. Let's hurt those most in need in our society.

Well, Democrat presidents don't run scam Universities or charities.
And their campaign people and advisors don't run scams on Building a Wall and take the money for their personal use, for which a Republican president would give them a get out of jail free card.

So your point is valid.

I wasn't talking about Trump, Mr. TDS. I was talking about:
Hillary.
Hunter.
Fauci.
Antifa/BLM Rioters
Every criminal in a City with a Soros D.A.

Your sentence in bold is the first truth you've spoken here. Congrats.

Until then it's all conspiracy nonsense. Tucker's gone, so maybe the nonsense will abate without him to stoke the hate.

Hold the phone here. Is it your contention that Hillary's handling of classified documents, and the contents of Hunter's laptop is conspiracy nonsense? Are you saying that if there aren't convictions, then no crime was committed?

The problem with this..again.. is that hundreds of rioters were never taken to trial. They may have been arrested by diligent police, but released and/or charges dropped by Soros backed elected progressive DA’s.
Nice diversion.

Debt ceiling raised 3 times under former Republican president with no problems.
Democrat in the White House?
Let's play Russian roulette with the financial markets and potentially default on debt for bills already incurred.
That should help the Yuan become more widely accepted in international trade.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-04-26/yuan-overtakes-dollar-as-china-s-most-used-cross-border-currency#xj4y7vzkg

Really no problems or negotiations?

Pelosi, the California Democrat, said the idea of raising the debt ceiling on its own and not in conjunction with a budget agreement was not “acceptable to our caucus” and therefore did not stand a chance of passage in the House of Representatives.

July 15, 2019

At least Pelosi had a seat at the table with the prior administration

It's pretty hilarious (sad) reading about all of these Presidential polls being conducted. In pretty much every key state, Biden is runnning ahead of Trump in the polls, but when you pair him with DeSantis, Biden trails. However, there's essentially zero path for DeSantis to beat Trump in the primary short of Trump falling over dead.

From a newsletter I receive:

Battleground Polling: Public Opinion Strategies conducted a series of 500-sample general election polls in five battleground states during the April 11-20 period, and all of the surveys produced very close results while highlighting a familiar pattern. This research gives us an early indication that we will again see a very close general election campaign.

In Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, POS tested both former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis individually against President Biden. In every instance, we see Mr. DeSantis running better when paired against Mr. Biden than does the former President.

First in Arizona, President Biden would lead Mr. Trump by a single point, while Gov. DeSantis would record a six-point advantage over the Democratic incumbent.

The Michigan numbers produced a similar pattern with the President running two points ahead of Mr. Trump but trailing the Florida Governor by three.

Almost the same pattern occurred in the Silver State of Nevada: Biden up one over Trump but down three to DeSantis.

Pennsylvania yields virtually the same result: Biden +4 over Trump; DeSantis +3 over Biden.

And, just about the same was projected for Wisconsin: Biden leading Trump by three percentage points while drawing even opposite Gov. DeSantis.

These posts do my head in. Ya, Donald Trump sucks but an 80+ year old Joe Biden candidate doesn’t suck? So the Democrats think the best way to win the 2024 election is to send an 80+ year old Joe Biden into a long drawn out presidential race and an additional 4 more years if he were to be re-elected? You really want a middle to late 80 year old man running this country? That’s the best the Democratic Party can do? Come on man. I’ve never not voted in an election but if the choices for the next election are Joe Biden vs Donald Trump, it will be the first election I won’t vote in.

Correct. If that happens, I won’t be voting again for the second time in the election. Not something I’m necessarily proud of, but I refuse to vote when those are the picks. These politicians are effing cowards. McConnell is such a pussy that he can’t even stand up to someone that degrades his wife. In other news..apparently illegal immigration is DOWN 90% due to the bang up job this administration is doing. This woman, who serves as Joe Biden's mouthpiece brings a level of fuckery to that podium that's truly astonishing...i mean this is next level stuff here.

"In the meantime, he has tools that he's used to make sure we do this. We actually deal with the immigration system in a humane way, in a way that actually deals with what we're seeing at the border. And that's why you've seen the parolee program be so successful. When it comes to illegal immigration, you've seen it come down by more than 90%. The daily gaslighting and out and out lying from the podium by this Press Secretary is astonishing to behold. There are only a few in that press corps who decide to challenge her, and when they do, she has zero answer or simply just walks off the stage.
The difference in how these conferences proceed now vs 2017-2020 is incredible to behold and Biden won’t answer questions, but just walks off- then jokes about it and throws it in the press corps face at the White House correspondents dinner. They meekly laugh.

You are being intentionally obtuse with total ignoring of the daily spewing of lies and obsfucation occurring in the White House press briefings. Remember how inflation was “transitory” and Joe Biden was gonna visit East Palestine and Kamala was gonna visit the border, not just have a photo op in El Paso?
And when will Biden actually hold a press conference. This far he has held the fewest of any recent President. When he comes out to speak he reads from prepared text, turns on his heel and ignores all questions.
Ya know. It’s not like there is anything going on in the world like bank failures, wars and inflation.

By the way. Biden’s joke at his speech was it was just like his press interactions. They laughed despite them being used & insulted. Good times for accountability!!

Has a lot to do with legal asylum seekers turning themselves in at the border, rather than crossing the border illegally. So you need manpower to process them and hear their cases. What really needs to happen is to appoint a shit ton more judges to hear and process these cases quickly rather than waiting years to get them processed and approved or denied.

But lets be real, will the powers that be ever allow RFK to get to the point where he begins leading in the polls? Not only will they want to protect the security state from the release of those files, but they need to continue protecting the Obama-Biden woke/cultural/"Maoist with American characteristics" revolution. RFK is already up to 20% in the last polls I saw. If he gets to 30% or 40% in the next few weeks or so, the sharks will begin smelling blood in the water. Watch for Newsome or Michelle to jump in, and Biden being thrown over the ship.

RFK Jr - who already has support of 20% of Dems, has been throwing out some major truth bombs on Twitter the last couple of days:

on Ukraine:

"After successfully defusing the Cuban Missile Crisis, President John Kennedy warned against ever again forcing Russia to choose between national humiliation and nuclear war. We should heed his advice."

"Zelensky ran as the peace candidate winning the Ukrainian presidency with 70% of the vote. As Benjamin Abelow observes in his brilliant book, “How the West Brought War to Ukraine,” Zelensky almost certainly could have avoided the 2022 war with Russia simply by uttering five words — “I will not join NATO.” But pressured by NeoCons in the Biden White House, and by violent fascist elements within the Ukrainian government, Zelensky integrated his army with NATO’s and allowed the U.S. to place nuclear-capable Aegis missile launchers along Ukraine’s 1,200-mile border with Russia. These were provocations that senior U.S. diplomats like post-WWII foreign policy architect George Kennan, former U.S. Defense Secretary Bill Perry, and former U.S. ambassador to Moscow Jack Matlock had long described as “red lines” for Russian leadership. Let’s face it, the Neocons wanted this war with Russia, just as they wanted war with Iraq."

On immigration:

The most crucial aspect of the immigration crisis is rarely discussed: Why are so many people so desperate in the first place to leave their homes and countries behind for an uncertain future? The answer is uncomfortable. In large part, it is U.S. policies that create desperate conditions south of the border. The War on Drugs is one. U.S.-funded dictators, juntas, paramilitaries, and death squads. Neoliberal extraction of resources. Unpayable debts. It is inhumane and hypocritical to deny immigration while creating the conditions that drive immigration.

Is it possible to be pro-immigration AND pro closing the border? Yes. America should be a haven of freedom and prosperity, open to law-abiding migrants who will contribute to our society. However, immigration must proceed in an orderly, lawful manner. Right now we have chaos at the border. Human trafficking, criminality, intolerable stress on border states like Texas. It is a humanitarian nightmare.

on cash (the world, and the US, are moving towards a cashless society - a Fed Gov't agency, Rocky Mtn NP, just announced they will no longer accept their own currency):

Some advocate tight control of cryptocurrencies to prevent their use by criminals. But it isn’t just criminals who want privacy. So do dissidents and ordinary citizens. Governments harass their enemies and crush dissent by controlling bank accounts and payment platforms. Until we restore trust in government (a distant prospect) we need cash and crypto to ensure freedom.

on free speech:

Instead of championing free speech, the U.S. actively persecutes journalists and whistleblowers. I’ll pardon brave truth-tellers like Julian Assange and investigate the corruption and crimes they exposed. This isn’t the Soviet Union. The America I love doesn’t imprison dissidents.

Homeless guy acts crazy on the subway, and a former Marine gets him in a chokehold to hold him for police (with the help of a couple of others). Homeless guy dies.

Justified? Or Subway Floyd?

I say justified. Homeless guy had been arrested Forty Four times before for harassing passengers and had been released to the outside world every time despite the fact that NYC spends hundreds of millions every year on mental health assistance.
I doubt Marine had any intent to kill the guy and guy probably just didn’t stop resisting. Would you have let this maniac go?
The word is “If you see something, say or do something. This guy was harrassing an elderly lady and had just recently before tried to push a passenger off the station platform into the path of an oncoming train. So the Marine “does something” and protects other passengers.
As ludicrous as Bragg is, he’ll probably indict the Marine for murder..
Unclear: Was the Marine Black too?
Edit. He was not.
And I must add that Neeley was a very sad story. Some of it from outside influences such as his mother being murdered and some from him just not taking his meds. He was in and out of Bellevue. He definitely should not have been released into the public sphere.

Without commenting on the legal aspects, it is my understanding that a person passes out from being in a choke hold, and then you have to continue it for some time to cause death.
It might seem that once the guy lapsed into unconsciousness, that the pressure could have been relaxed, and he could have been watched until the cops came, especially if the Marine had others assisting him at that time. Maybe not.

From the files of Woke Dem Illiberals are the actual racists:
This from Bari Weiss’ “The Free Press” TGIF:

In the wealthy suburb of Evanston, Illinois, segregation is back, baby. Evanston Township High School is segregating math classes by race. The Spectator, which is always fabulous, brings us the scoop this week.

After the Spectator story, the school updated their language to be a little more vague, about certain classes simply “intending to support” certain races but technically being open to others. There’s a long-standing joke that the ultra-woke and the racist actually agree on everything. But it’s supposed to be a joke. Now we have, in real life, an algebra class for “black male students” and, unspoken but implied, algebra for white students. My jaw is dropped as I write this; it seems vaguely racist even to type these things.

Meanwhile, The New England Journal of Medicine wants to bring racial segregation to medical school classrooms to prevent “trauma.”

One last note on the neo-racism we’re seeing in schools comes from a lawsuit alleging discrimination against Asians in college admissions. Here is a sample of how progressive admissions offices talk:

“ This confusion about who counts as Asian apparently extended to UNC's admissions office. In response to an admissions officer's message noting that an applicant had a "perfect 2400 SAT»" another admissions officer asked, "Brown?!" UNC.JA1250. The first admissions officer responded, "Heck no. Asian." UNC.JA1251. This exchange reveals a misunderstanding of the term "Asian" as excluding dark-skinned individuals with
ancestry in South and Southeast Asia.”

Former CIA intelligence officer Larry Johnson says the decision to launch a drone attack on the Kremlin was made by the United States.

The Wednesday attack, which was likely to have been targeting Russian President Vladimir Putin, was stopped by electronic warfare systems which disabled the drones before they could reach their target.

According to Johnson, the attack must have been spearheaded by the Biden administration and the US military-industrial complex because “decisions on such attacks are made not in Kiev, but in Washington.”

to which RFK responded to this attack the other day (and I whole heartedly agree):

“Imagine how we would respond if Russian-backed forces launched a drone strike on the Capitol. We must stop these deranged attempts to escalate the war.”

He also tweeted this today:

"In 1960, the USSR accused the U.S. of running an aerial spying program over its territory. Our government denied it to the American people, only admitting it when confronted with the captured U-2 pilot Gary Powers. Americans were genuinely shocked that their government would lie to them. Today the lying has become so routine that people are no longer shocked. There can be no true democracy when government manipulates the people with spin, hype, propaganda, phony “leaks,” and outright lies. I will establish honesty and transparency once again to earn back the trust of the American people. #Kennedy24"

It’s pretty interesting that the Feds had to dig so deep to an almost never used charge to try to convict citizens, had to make sure the venue was in a safe favorable jury pool area and go after these people after allowing chaos, riots and severe harassment of the public to occur in the summer of 2020.
Also interesting that they all of a sudden decided to act like laws were inviolate here in an area where the Democratic Mayor actually had “Defund the Police” painted on a city street then Defunding really did occur.
No wonder citizen faith in the Federal Enforcement Agencies is at an all time low.
The country sees what is going on, and doesn’t like it.

This devastating in The Hill link (actually, the entire story is devastating):

"almost half the country now lacks trust in the FBI over concerns it is doing the bidding of one political party over another. That is a disaster for the bureau — unprecedented in magnitude — and could translate into an existential threat to one of the nation’s most important agencies as political fault lines shift."

Then add-on the MAJOR scandal of the 51 intel officials that signed the so-called "Hunter Biden laptop ‘disinfo’ letter", when they knew with 100% certainty that the computer was indeed Hunter's - and the implications it had for exposing Joe's influence-peddling crimes and his exposure to international bribery.

This is 100% proof of deep state meddling in the 2020 election. And this comes after the completely made-up Russian collusion crap.

And we're supposed to believe Joe Biden got the most votes in the history of the republic - after going thru a primary process where virtually no one showed up at his rallies, and where he was propped-up in SC.... yeah, right...

The creation of fake news:
Ron DeSantis Bill Against Chinese Citizens in Florida Sparks Outrage (msn.com) (https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/ron-desantis-bill-against-chinese-citizens-in-florida-sparks-outrage/ar-AA1aNuw2?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=a8363ced1c524c679e92a0574d7e0471&ei=215)

The headline is a tip-off that it's a hit piece, not a legitimate news story. For the morons here, I'll explain: Ron DeSantis is a governor, which is part of the Executive branch of government. The Executive branch does not create Bills. That is the duty of the Legislative branch. So no, this is not Desantis' bill.

Of course, the general public is too stupid to realize that, and Democrats just want to find reasons to hate him, so their pursuit of the truth ends there. Good job fake Newsweek! Now for those few actually willing to read the story, it does discretely mention that it is not actually Desantis' Bill. The story then goes on to explain that the Bill will prohibit "Chinese Citizens" from owning land in Florida. The term is used intentionally to make the reader believe he's trying to prevent actual U.S. citizens of Chinese ancestry from owning land. The outrage! He's a racist!

Then if one reads far enough, it then states that Chinese US Citizens or those with permanent residence are excluded, and the bill is intended to prevent the CCP from buying up property the way they have been doing across the U.S., including by military bases.

An accurate headline would have been, "DeSantis supports Bill preventing CCP from buying Florida Land". But propaganda is more important than accuracy.

For everything you see or hear from the MSM, start with the position that it's fake, and go from there.

He was "embarassed" by being number 2 behind California. He assumedly is happy now that Texas leads the nation in gun purchases, even though there are 10 million more people in California.

Meanwhile, California leads the nation in gun safety.

Nice try, but you specifically mentioned gun deaths when you said he must be happy. If you're going to say something as distasteful as you did, it's not a good look to try to deflect and double down. The day after a mass shooting you say the Gov of Texas must be happy? Solid look there, Paul.

Okay, getting back to what I think was pretty clearly Paul's point...

Since encouraging Texas to purchase more guns than anyone else so they can become the #1 state in gun ownership, they have now become the #1 state in gun deaths. How about addressing that??

"Hope you're happy" is an often-used figure of speech after self inflicted consequence. If someone is supportive or insistent of doing things a certain way and then things predictively go incredibly wrong, you'll often hear someone say "Hope they're happy." You don't have to agree with his point, but it's not as if he didn't clearly make it. Can you at least address what his point actually was??

So, can we at least start to work toward making it illegal for someone to ever own guns again after they do something like this?? It seems like that should be something we can all agree on. We may not agree on exactly where the line should be when it comes to gun control, but I think we can all agree which side of the line assholes like this are on. Okay, I'm completely missing what it is that you're talking about.

Like, I don't see how one word of what you said has anything at all to do with the post you quoted.

A man started shooting at kids who were playing hide and seek as they were running away from his house. This is the latest in a recent string of incidents where someone decided to use lethal force with a gun when it was absolutely ridiculous to do so. He reacted to a rather normal every day occurrence where he wasn't in any danger at all by shooting at someone. That's it. That's the issue.

The challenge is how to stop, or at least lower, the number of shootings. That's not an easy thing to do. I think this country used to be able to do hard things, but I'm not sure if we have that ability anymore. If it's not an easy fix that's also backed by a political agenda, then no one will even consider it. Jared Kushner’s new private equity firm got $2 billion from Saudi Arabia because maybe that’s how you can cash in when your investing experience is slender but your father-in-law may wind up back in the White House. It’s also possible that you can get billions for a firm with no track record because the White House did favors for the Saudis when your father-in-law still occupied the Oval Office

Is it though? How do these uneducated unable to critically think people fund these political campaigns to allow these people to get elected? By the time is comes to elections, you typically have two lousy choices funded by special interests and in some areas which are heavy red or blue states, one choice. The US Horrible public school curriculum is an interesting take. I take it you are talking about common core? I agree, terrible curriculum. Interesting though that the state of Ohio after receiving backlash about common core altered the name but kept most of the common core standards. The public believes itÂ’s not common core but essentially it is common core with a different name. The US is falling further and further behind in education based on parental involvement, discipline and what these kids are exposed to when they go home. Take the best ranked school in the state and the worst ranked school in the state. I bet the best ranked comes from a weather suburban area where parent are actually involved in their childÂ’s education. I also bet the worst ranked school is inner city or extremely rural areas whose children deal with hunger, drugs, violence, abuse, lack of parental involvement, no discipline and really no motivation to improve their lives. If you want to argue that Democrats have made this worse I can get behind that. To blame public schools because kids who have no motivation to learn, and go home to all sorts of trama arenÂ’t making the grade? Seems like a political statement and not addressing the root cause of the issue.

Speaking of public school performance, 9 of the 10 worst states in the country in education are controlled by Republican legislature, with state departments of education. They all rank at the bottom in PreK-12 scores, critical in development. If Republicans in those states were serious about educational outcomes, they have the power to change it instead of looking for scapegoats. It is certainly true that the administration costs in the school have become bloated, but I'm not sure any teachers unions are the reason for high salaries and duplication in the administrative positions. For the most part we woefully underpay our teachers...which may be part of the problem scores are bad.
Teachers in China earn 44% more than the GDP per capita.
Teacher in the US earn 14% less than the GDP per capita.

So you are talking about the school voucher system? I am all for school choice but at the end of the day I do not see how that will help raise student achievement within the state worth mentioning. Totally get parents wanting to go to a school that will best help their child succeed. However, this doesn’t not address in my opinion the root cause of poor student achievement which has to do with lack of parental involvement, no discipline, lack of motivation, lack of food, drugs, abuse, violence, and other mental health problems. Going to a new school isn’t going to help these students who deal with these issues on a regular basis. However, it may help other students who don’t have these issues whose education is disrupted constantly by students who have these issues.

I appreciate all that research into city governments...but it misses the point entirely.

The states are the entities primarily responsible for the maintenance and operation of public schools. The states are also heavily involved in the establishment, selection, and regulation of curriculum, teaching methods, and instructional materials in their schools. Consequently, each state has different standards and policies which may impact the quality of education offered.

Once again, 9 of 10 of the lowest performing states are controlled in the legislature by Republicans; and most have all the state offices.

Paul - your source, and/or its methodology, is totally bogus. To say Maryland has the 2nd best school system in the US is totally ludicrous.

"Nearly nine out of 10 Baltimore City public school students are not proficient in math, and about 80% of elementary schoolers weren't proficient in English, according to a recent Maryland State Department of Education report. Meanwhile, the school system has one of the largest budgets in the country."

"In the Baltimore City Public Schools, the four-year high school graduation rate is 69%, the lowest in the state. In addition to the low district-wide proficiency, 23 schools reported zero students proficient in math.

A reminder, NYC has a population of over 8M and is only dealing with a fraction of the migrants in border town that otherwise have populations of a few hundred thousand- like El Paso, Corpus Christi and Brownsville.

What I don't understand is why a supposed graduate of Xavier would make racial slurs against our own guys. What in God’s name does the color of their skin have to do with any analysis of XAVIER guys? Absolutely, criticism of players is perfectly fine, but a supposed Xavier grad referring to their race as if that has anything to do with their performance on the court is 100% racist garbage.

More importantly, why is this crap tolerated on this board? Where is the pushback from other posters? Are you afraid of getting on his permanent shit list? Where are the mods? Is it because they’re “only” white guys, therefore it doesn't matter? Or, is it just Ville being Ville?

Hell, he's already making racial slurs against a guy who hasn't even suited up for Xavier yet:

Yeah I watched a game of his in high school and he just looked like a big white stiff and had no idea why he was rated highly. I don’t even see him as a depth move. I really don’t get it

I sincerely hope most of this is a complete joke. We already know Steele is. Figures though...steele loves him some unathletic white guys.

Ahh coach by numbers Steele....gotta get his unathletic white guy in.

What the fuck kinda of lineup is this...

Carter and kunkel have to have something on Steele. There is no way he’s this stupid

0 chance we see him in the 2nd half, it’s not in steeles coloring book. Gotta play his two unathletic all star white guys

Fire him. I’m beyond done with whatever stupid stubborn little man syndrome shit he has against kyky, and I’m sick of the love affair with white stiffs

And it goes beyond X guys:

Mostly disdain. They are duke to me without the titles. They always have some douchey white guy with a punchable face—-it’s been timme the last few years.

And it goes on and on and on. There are at least a dozen other examples of these types of remarks. This is beyond despicable.

Wow you are a psycho. So because I call them white, that’s a racial slur. You need help, and a new hobby. It’s alright though I’m sure you’ll be banned soon enough again. My question, why haven’t you been permanently banned? You have been banned what five or six times? Way to call out the mods who let you keep coming back to your only hobby in life. I do absolutely love the irony of saying I make racist comments while in the same post making a completely racist remark. You’re precious.

You want to get back on topic and explain how Baltimore inner city schools have to do with the entire school system in Maryland? Every time you get called out with facts, you resort to harassment and fake outrage. You’re one of the problems with society today.

HAPPY END OF TITLE 42 Day!!

New York City is temporarily suspending some of the rules related to its longstanding guarantee of shelter to anyone who needs it as officials struggle to find housing for migrants arriving from the southern border. Sanctuary City, correct??

A reminder, NYC has a population of over 8M and is only dealing with a fraction of the migrants in border town that otherwise have populations of a few hundred thousand- like El Paso, Corpus Christi and Brownsville.

If proud sanctuary city NYC is struggling, how are those border towns supposed to manage this crisis?

Where is “Border Czar” Kamala when you need her??????

Local CBS news stated Denver is absorbing 400/day.

What a mess. We can't even take care of our own. Just wait what these big cities will look like in 5 years.

The bigger mess is that we allow and encourage people to live dependent on the government. One lady in our town quit her job so she could be eligible for low income housing. Another had her seventh child and can’t afford to independently raise the other six without full government monetary support. We call it the lifecycle of poverty here. Born on government benefits, have the same government benefits throughout your life, have multiple children who are born on benefits and the life cycle continues. I totally get that there are people with significant health issues and disabilities that need government assistance and I totally support that. However, tax payers are paying a lot of money for people who are fully capable of working and supporting their choice of having multiple kids through money they receiving from work. Government assistance should only be a pick me up to get people back on their feet. It should not be a lifestyle.

. Return to the family separation policy.
. Can't stop lying about 2020.
. No regret for his role in 1/6 riot.
. Will pardon 1/6 rioters.
.Will not try to get back the more moderate independent voters that have caused his defeat in last 3 elections.
. Won't back Ukraine over Russia.
.Again criticized Pence for not overthrowing the gov't.
.Gave Carroll a shot at a new defamation suit.

Hey Bobbie - are you for all this as well?

At least 853 migrants died crossing the U.S.-Mexico border in past 12 months: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/migrant-deaths-crossing-us-mexico-border-2022-record-high/

The bodies of more than 890 migrants, a record number, were recovered by U.S. authorities along the border in the 2022 fiscal year: https://www.wsj.com/articles/illegal-immigration-mexico-us-border-deaths-c35cf892

For some women and girls, being raped is the price of the trip: https://english.elpais.com/international/2023-03-07/the-reality-of-migrant-women-en-route-to-the-united-states-raped-and-unable-to-access-a-hospital.html

According to Guillermo, there had been a recent uptick in reports from people who had been held up by armed assailants in the Darién and forced to remove all of their clothing for a manual inspection of bodily orifices, to ensure that nothing of value had been tucked away. Often, the women were then separated from the group and raped: https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2023/3/19/rape-as-a-weapon-in-the-war-on-asylum-seekers

A 5-year-old and a 3-year-old girl were found wandering the Texas desert on the U.S. border with Mexico. They’d both been raped: https://heartlandernews.com/2022/10/03/migrant-children-are-being-raped-and-left-in-the-desert-bodies-are-piling-up-and-drugs-are-killing-missouri-students-all-due-to-an-open-border/

Finally, do you know how many Americans have died from fentanyl that's coming over Biden's border?

Boy, Bobbie, you and Biden are real humanitarians!!!

After President Joe Biden signed an executive order Jan. 20 regarding the miles of border wall under construction during the Trump administration, some took to Facebook to claim — inaccurately — that Biden will tear down the wall.

A Facebook user by the name of Giggle Palooza posted Jan. 24, “Just seen where Biden signed an Executive Order to tear down the border wall. Here's your tax dollars hard at work: https://twitter.com/KimDotcom/status/1657762895911088128

So, let me see if I've got this straight: Biden slows oil and gas production down in the US - thus curtailing supply - which allows prices to rise - which in-turn allows Russia to sell their oil at a much higher price on the world market - thus allowing them to continue the war in Ukraine, and match munition power with the US/NATO. Meanwhile, the country of Ukraine gets shredded, and the Ukrainian people lose their lives and livelihoods.

Question: if Biden really wanted to WIN the war, wouldn't the first and obvious strategy be to flood the market with oil and gas? Or, is he just grifting off the American tax payer just like the other warmongers in DC (Pelosi's, McConnell's, Clinton's, Bolton, Kamala, Lindsey Graham, etc., etc...) (oh, and don't forget to add Zelensky to that list) Maybe, just maybe, these vultures love this stalemate.

Sure, there's a lot that can be done about that. And I think Biden's group is trying to do that by repairing damaged relations with other countries and addressing the large problems in a unified fashion, like trying to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear threat to the region.
Now, I know he stopped funding for the wall...but I would love to know if you had a source for he "dismantled" Trump's wall other than re-tweets from Giggle Palozza.

What damaged relations are you referring to? As Lou pointed out his policies allowed Russia to invade Ukraine. Just like his policies led them to take Crimea when he was VP.

On Iran. Hi, I’m the real world. They likely already have it. Maybe you should have Kerry windsurf over there again…

Maybe Biden can have the Chinese fly a balloon over the mts in Iran instead of our airspace. Oh, and let’s not forget Biden turned the Taliban into one of the best equipped militaries in the world.

I’d like to think he’s doing this on purpose because nobody can be that stupid. Or maybe the problem is his supporters are.

No one is rooting for Putin. I hope the people of Russia and Ukraine people are able to get back to their lives. The Russians and the Ukrainians have been through enough steaming, hot political nonsense for over 100 years.

I’m rooting to stay out of it. The way to beat Russia is by crippling the Bear economically with US energy.

I find it very curious that those who were so anti-war 20 years ago are so hawkish now.

Arizona and Texas had erected shipping crates to try to fill in gaps in the wall. Biden ordered those to be removed leaving large gaps.

I really didn't understand Ike's comments / or thought the Industrial-Military complex was more or less conspiracy. But in recent years it's become plainly clear to me that Ike was spot on. In fact, I would argue that every war beginning with Vietnam was foisted upon us by the Industrial-Military complex (Deep State / Security State / Permanent DC). I no longer look at America with the rose-colored glasses I used to.

PS - I'm assuming you were joking on the Patton comment - that would've been a total blood bath. Like today, I don't think we could've won a war like that unless we used nukes.

Namely because it didn't say anything close to that. Pretty simple. The Mueller Report, the IG's report, and the Republican Senate Intelligence committee all determined that Russia actively work to support efforts to undermine Clinton's campaign and help Trump get elected.
You don't want to call it collusion, which is not even a legally defined term for breaking the law. I'll call it collusion as a lay term for the Trump campaign manager to hand polling and other data to a Russian intelligence officer so they could target their social media campaigns to help Trump. Certainly sounds like they might have "colluded." Or Russians hacking various Dems and releasing it to hurt a campaign. They didn't hack Trump's people.
Durham wasted 4 years, took a couple of people to court who were found not guilty, and had one charge thrown out by the judge.

CNN

Special counsel John Durham concluded that the FBI should never have launched a full investigation into connections between Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia during the 2016 election, according to a report compiled over three years by the Trump-administration appointee and released on Monday.

Durham’s 300-plus page report also states that the FBI used “raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence,” to launch the “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation into Trump and Russia but used a different standard when weighing concerns about alleged election interference regarding Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

In a statement Monday, the FBI said its leadership has “already implemented dozens of corrective actions, which have now been in place for some time,” in response to the conduct examined by Durham. “Had those reforms been in place in 2016, the missteps identified in the report could have been prevented,” the statement adds.

Monday, Durham knocked the FBI for failing to take several steps before launching the Trump campaign investigations, such as interviewing relevant witnesses, reviewing its own intelligence databases or using “any of the standard analytical tools typically employed by the FBI in evaluating raw intelligence.”

Durham suggested that if the FBI had taken those steps, it would have found that US intelligence agencies did not have any evidence tying Trump to Russian leadership officials.

Nothing to see here...move along. The top investigative arm of our government launched a completely bogus investigation into a sitting President based on nothing more than party bias. That arm was investigated, found to be incompetent, and has since put certain checks and balances in place to make sure that this kind of buffoonery never take place again. Sounds like a win for people who appreciate equal application of the rules. For those who like to see our government agencies used to take down political opposition..they'll call it a waste.

Not simple at all as Paul continues to try to use stuff that was all based upon the only info (false) that was available at the time…and subsequently totally debunked.
None of that trash was legit that started the whole process as the Wall Street Journal points out:

“ The report’s 316 pages detail the FBI’s failings at every turn. Mr. Durham describes how the bureau initiated its probe based on a conversation between unpaid Trump adviser George Papadopoulos and an Australian diplomat. No U.S. law-enforcement or intelligence agency thought the conversation was evidence of collusion, but the FBI launched a formal investigation anyway without “any significant review of its own intelligence databases” or “conducting interviews of witnesses essential to understand the raw information it had received.” The FBI also opened full investigations of four members of Mr. Trump’s campaign team.

The bureau then began working on authorizations for use of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA, warrants—which would lead to highly intrusive electronic coverage of Trump adviser Carter Page. We learned from the special counsel that former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith committed a criminal offense by fabricating language in an email that helped the FBI obtain the FISA surveillance order against Mr. Page. Agents also used the unverified dossier, concocted by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele, as probable cause in its FISA applications.

Mr. Durham notes that the FBI personnel working on those applications displayed “a cavalier attitude towards accuracy and completeness.” FBI personnel continued to seek renewals of FISA surveillance while acknowledging that they didn’t believe there was probable cause. They also disregarded exculpatory information, such as surrepti-tiously recorded statements from some of the targets themselves.

At the very least, Mr. Durham reminds us, the bureau should have exercised restraint when it received information from Mr. Steele, who was at that time being paid by entities of Hillary Clinton’s campaign. This partisan information helped sustain the probe and, in Mr. Durham’s opinion, contributed to the creation of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.”

Stop with your ridiculous gaslighting Paul.

A waste.
Mueller led to Stone and Flynn being convicted and subsequently being pardoned by Trump. Great record.
Bannon gets pardoned for his build the wall scam, while his buddies on the project go to jail. Nice.

sounds like

might have

colluded ("not even a legally defined term")

and you start it all off with the word "certainly"

What would you call the situation where the manager of the campaign for the United States presidency gives a Russian intelligence agent, polling data to help the Russians use social media to impact the United States election?

What would you call a candidate who was so inept that she couldn’t even find her way to Wisconsin in the last 2 months of a Presidential Campaign?

So you are with the republicans who want to defund/disband the FBI? Has a familiar sound to it.

Absolutely not. Why would you say that...I've never indicated anything of the sort. You are an odd bird.

The FBI messed up, made mistakes and launched an investigation without due cause. Those facts are not in dispute. I don't know why people can't just admit it and also admit that its a good thing to make sure our government agencies don't pull this kind of crap moving forward. It's really head scratching
