Projected Starting Five:
Kahron Ross, Junior, Guard, 11.2 points per game
Kyle Leufroy, Sophomore, Guard, 10.6 points per game
Austin Price, Senior, Guard, 13.0 points per game
Matt Holba, Freshman, Forward, DNP last season
Tim Kempton, Senior, Center, 17.7 points per game
Final Projection:
With bigger guards like Carter and Alston, Lehigh could conceivably run a four guard lineup with Kemp in the paint. That sounds good on paper right now due to the lack of experience in the frontcourt, but Holba and the other freshmen should be able to fill the void. Not having another forward on the floor would hurt quite a bit on the glass and put a lot of pressure on Kempton. Thus, the development of Holba will go a long way in determining just how good this Lehigh team can be. They have proven playmakers at every other position and more backcourt depth than they had a year ago. Whether or not the frontcourt can find any other quality players to team up with Kempton, this is a good team that will be the favorites to take home the Patriot League title.

FWIW they are preseason #142 on Kenpom. Kenpom takes into account transfers (if there are any) and incoming freshman, but I believe none of the freshman on Lehigh's team would be ranked high enough to statistically contribute to that preseason ranking.

Ed and Austin Price were teammates in HS for a year or two
Kempton looks like a horse in the Big Stain mold. Good early test for our bigs??

I think every game is going to be a test for our bigs...at least this year.

I think we have to wait a few games to judge the bigs. Not sure anyone was counting them as the huge strength they turned out to be last year this time.

Lehigh is a really good team. By Patriot League standards. It'll be interesting to see what they can do against us, but they really shouldn't make us sweat at all. I like them. But, they're swinging way over their heads in this one.

Agreed. They're solid but I am not sure their perimeter defenders are up to the challenge of the 6'5/6'6 three headed monster Ed/Tre/JP present. Actually I am sure that they're not.

So for people who don't get Fox College Sports, anyone have info on where the game might be streamed?

It'll be streamed on Fox Sports Go but obviously you need a login with cable info
I'd suggest finding someone who does get it, and using their login information to their cable provider

You sure about that? It doesn't show up when you login with a TWC Cincinnati login and I think the Miami game last year was a similar deal and not on there but someone here posted a great stream.

Yeah honestly I didn't really check before I posted that, just assumed it would be on there. I know you get different access depending on what package you have. For example, if I ever have to use the app cause I don't get it in Chicago regularly, then I use Direct TV because you get more options from Fox (I don't have Direct TV personally). But I just tried it as well and don't see it listed for Friday night. Showing Fox Sports College on Xavier's website, what is that?

I'm pretty sure this is what the opener has been on the past few years -- and someone has always come through with a stream. Nice to not have to worry about it the rest of the season.

I just checked the FS Go app, and the game is showing up for me with my Playstation Vue login. I think I posted about PS Vue sometime earlier in the offseason, and while it isn't without some bugs/issues, I think I would still really recommend it if you want to go one more step from typical cable options, but not quite cut the cord yet... definitely seems to have better sports options than Sling (although i think they finally offer an option that provides both FS1/2 and the espn networks... but it's more expensive). The one step up tier includes various fox sports channels, fs1 and 2, espn/2/u, BTN, NFLN, and i believe SEC. Also, the network apps (including FS Go, Watch ESPN) allow you to connect with your PS Vue login info.
You don't need a PS4, but you do need some sort of "TV-connected" device... that is, you can access it on your phone, but it can't be the primary device, or something along those lines. Not sure what all that includes at this point. Be forewarned, the PS4 wireless card seems to seriously suck--vue will not run smoothly on my PS4 unless I have a network cable plugged in... seems to work fine over wireless on my phone and on fire tv though.
Sorry for the long post, but I could not stand giving ATT, TWC, or DirecTV any more of my money. Switched to WOW internet for half the price, and went with PS Vue instead of traditional cable. Couldn't be happier, especially since I can catch every XU game this year no problem, with the possible exception of CBSSN games (however, I feel like Fox Sports Ohio picked those up as well last year... am I crazy? I think there was something going on with those).

You think you can get a Vue FSGo log in with the free trial? Probably not right?
Edit: Signed up for a 1-week free trial and logged in to FSGo with my newly created Vue ID and it appears to be working.
