Pretty loaded field for our 2018 in-season tournament:

Arizona, Auburn, Duke, Gonzaga, Illinois, Xavier, Iowa State, and Chaminade will headline the 2018 Maui Invitational, per release.

This is a Xavier fest though. Sean Miller, John Groce, and X. History with Steve Fisher and Gonzaga. Love it.

What that means is that Chaminade will be in the "mainland" bracket in 2018. That means that 2 of the teams will play Chaminade in what amounts to a buy game and that Chaminade will be in a 4-team tournament with 3 other buy game-level programs.

Potential guess on cost through a travel package? We talking $3000 or more? Don't know, never been to Hawaii, but seriously considering this.

I'm guessing these packages will go fast?

Well considering the cost for Orlando for 4 people (tickets, hotel, transportation) is $2225.00 I'm guessing double that.

Add drinks, food and flights and your all in is likely around $10,000 for 4 people.

They have prices up for this year if you want to get a guesstimate (although it may be more in 18 based on the level of competition.)

Hopefully, there won't be a zika virus scare like this year. I'm saving all my Frontier miles for the CVG-LAX-CVG portion of the trip to ease the financial blow this trek will incur.

You can find reasonably-priced accommodations on Maui (relative to other vacation destinations) but airfare sucks. If you are a Costco member, look into Costco travel deals. We did that 5 years ago and got a pretty good deal. But it won't be cheap.

It almost feels like Wake Forest should be here as well even though I know they can't with Duke there

i'm more concerned about getting tickets. small venue with loaded field and great fan bases. gonna be tough i think
