For over 2 years now. Can someone running this site explain why an A10 Cintas floor photo is at the top and a 2013/14 schedule is featured on the main thread page? Looks really bush league. Just trying to imagine what kind of impression it leaves on other Big East folks who might visit us here. Let alone new X fans.

Paulxu just might turn all those red dots green for you!

I don't think that's going to happen.

Tell me more about the 2013/2014 schedule featured at the top. I have a different view then the average viewer. As far as the header picture. The license for a new picture that meets our needs was cost prohibitive last time I checked. I have a note to check again.

Here's one place it might make sense to update from A-10 to Big East, though:

I looked, and if you click on the Men's Basketball tab from the home page (which I'm not sure I've ever done before today), the 2013-14 schedule is on the right.
Also, I don't think I've ever clicked on Calendar from the home page, but clicking around today I noticed that it takes you to December 2010 (though I did appreciate looking back to September 2010 and seeing that I was only turning 34 back then).

I have an aunt, and we go to dinner once or twice a year when I'm back home. She will be annoyed by the chairs, the table, the music, how much ice is in the water, how high the fans are turned up, noise in the kitchen, and basically dozens of other things that I wouldn't have even noticed had she not pointed them out. By the end of the meal, all of those things start to annoy me as well, even though I wouldn't have even noticed them under normal circumstances.
This thread kinda reminds me of that.

Thanks, I've taken care of the schedule issue. Do people actually use it? If it's an overwhelming response I can create one for this year. But it is rather labor intensive (all things considered).

I've never even noticed it was there.

I think some people use the tabs if they have no interest in any of the other items on the board.

Big Props to XUOHTX who made this Banner a year or so ago... finally got it working thanks in no small part to the infamous Svoboda.

D'Artagnan seems to be pointing the way to Dana's. That's OK.

Ha! My wife and I say that every time we make it back to campus. And then we follow his advice and go to Dana's.

And thank you for changing the Banner.
Frankly, having mostly to do with habit, I stopped letting the old banner bother me. But it clearly is better to not have "A10" anywhere on our site, and especially for visitors who come here.

Totally agree. We had some issues with the pictures we had previously purchased. So this is a compromise.

You have to clear your browser's cache or re-load the page to see the new masthead.
I am actually offended by the new masthead. The bushes on the left are actually much larger now. How passé!

Very true.
