Basketball season has officially started. Practice #1 in the books!

Yep!!
It doesn't really hit me until that first exhibition game, which I believe is Oct 27th this year (at least I haven't seen a team schedule one earlier than that). I know that exhibition games aren't real games, but they are games between two college teams, and that is the first real semblance of college basketball for me. It's not even Midnight Madness (which most schools now do in the late afternoon). It's that first exhibition game.

The first "leaked" reports from the closed scrimmage mean it's basketball season to me.

Both Trevon and Sean have slimmed down some. 15 LBS for Blueitt. I think we're going to see a special year out of him.

The "secret scrimmage" will be played 10/29 in Nashville vs Georgia (since Mack is tight with Mark Fox). I believe the only exhibition game is the first Saturday in November.

Just to clarify, I meant the first open exhibition of any kind, not Xavier's first open exhibition.
I still plan on going on my annual rant about how I hate the rules for exhibition games and how teams should be able to schedule open exhibition games against other div1 schools if they want to, but I'll save it for later.

Please just launch into it now, and keep it running through the first week of November with an intense use of bandwidth here.

He already did. To keep us on our toes, he hid it in the Myles Davis Suspension (http://www.xavierhoops.com/showthread.php?31269-Myles-Davis-Suspension&p=562999#post562999) thread.

That's NashVegas to you. Oh, and thank you mods for changing the home avatar. I'm going to miss seeing the picture of Cintas with "A10" emblazoned on it...Not!

Bluiett is every thing I like about college basketball. Improves, listens to good advice, works hard. Another season with great promise.

May I add character to your list And I wouldn't be surprised to see bigger things for him after XU.

They can want it all they want, and I hope they want it very badly, because they're not getting into the Big East.
They'll remain a bigger smelly carp in a muddier and certainly diluted A10 for the duration. And that's only until Archie can escape to something more relevant.

Word on the street is they were dominant on offense and won very comfortably. I'm waiting for the boxscore to be tweeted out.

I doubt a released box score will come without Mack's okay.
I bet our guards led the team to a victory or 2 if they played twice.
