Have they committed to the Muskies' basketball program yet (as God intended)?

They would really enjoy playing with our guys and going to the Final Four in 2018.

They would really enjoy being Musketeers and winning a National Championship!

They would really enjoy entertaining the fans at the Cintas Center whose average attendance is OVER 100% of capacity!

They would really enjoy being a part of the Conference that places its single most important emphasis on the sport in which they excel!

All the pieces fit --- GO MUSKIES!

It was all over local and ESPN/Rival.com news as they both loved XU last week.

A LOT of optimism across the IU internet sphere after Wilkes' visit. Frankly, hard to imagine Crean will whiff on all four of the big in-state guys, Wilkes is as close to a must-get for him as possible and he's been recruiting him for 100 years.

Agreed.......but Crean is a total douche bag.

...and his track record with bigs is not great. Many have transferred out. Cody Zeller is not exactly lighting up the NBA ether.

I mean Wilkes isn't a big at all, but I actually think Crean has a great track record with bigs -- Zeller and Noah Vonleh were top 10 picks, and Thomas Bryant is projected well inside the 1st Round. That is basically the last three starting bigs he has recruited. Hard to have a better track record. Granted, Crean does have an obsession with filling out a roster to its max capacity every year, which is where some big guy transfers have occurred.

Edit: obviously Luke Fischer transferred, but that's well documented as a homesick situation. And he's a pretty good player.

We've done pretty well recruiting in Indiana over the last three coaches. It's easier to get to and from Indy to Cintas than to Bloomington.

Based on nothing but my faulty intuition and blatant homerism, I like our chances just because we're even seriously in the mix.

And there are fewer cops on 74 than 37.
