...to a couple of Xavier legends. - Erik (with a "K") Edwards and Aaron "A-Train" Williams!

While Williams had a more fruitful basketball career, Edwards was one a highly touted recruit for Pete Gillen.

I remember when Edwards committed- it was a big deal. I think he played in the Dapper Dan Classic.

I also remember when Brian Grant later committed and I thought, "Why is Gillen giving a scholarship to some kid from Georgetown, Ohio who wasn't even all-state?

I recall Edwards winning "Mr Basketball" for the state of Delaware, which isn't very impressive. But we didn't see many Mr Basketball winners at Xavier in that era.

Delaware is also responsible for the duo of Lenny Brown and Gary Lumpkin.
