It's been a sad day in the sports world, although this wasn't what you would call unexpected. RIP to the founder of Arnie's Army.

As a huge fan of golf and Palmer....what a sad day. But, if you think about it he had a remarkable life and touched so many people along the way. Incredible. His net worth is estimated at around 600 million dollars. Consider he only won 2 million actually playing golf. The King is gone but will never be forgotten.

Saw him live at a tournament in my teens. He didn't win, but the guy had charisma. The Army wasn't composed of the golf club set. He inspire the public course player in a way that wasn't repeated until Tiger.

As I attempt to gracefully age out from running into golf, I'm thankful he inspired me to take up the game when I was younger.

I drank Arnold Palmers all day today, but I do that every day. Always one by my side at home or in the car (Lipton decaf and Crystal light). One day my kids will realize a golfer had the same name. Kids....
