Blue Ribbon Preseason Top 25

For those of you who feel preseason polls are worthless, and always feel compelled to point that out, let me save you the trouble. Preseason polls are worthless. But, given the choice between talking about a worthless preseason college basketball poll and talking about nothing, I'm gonna choose the former!!

I find them more valuable the closer to the season they occur. I can't stand the one's that come out in April. Thanks for the link though. I liked what I saw.

That said, Creighton at #19 will raise some eyeballs.

I would think that it certainly doesn't hurt with current recruiting to be ranked 12th in a preseason poll.

NC States checks in at #24. When was the last time NC State finished the regular season ranked in the Top 25?? I believe it was 2004.

Actually, while I was typing this I checked it. In looking at their seeding in the NCAA Tournament it appears as though NC State has finished the regular season in the top 25 just once since 1991, and it was that 2004 team.

Perhaps they should stop ranking NC State in the preseason poll. Or for that matter in any poll during the regular season as well.

Not really. It's just amazing to me how there are certain teams that everyone, including the so called "experts," always thinks will be good but seemingly never are. Now, to be fair, NC State has made some runs in the NCAAs, they've never really dominated during the regular season.

It used to be Memphis. Everyone always thought they were going to be great year after year after year and they never were.
